St. Nick shop will be on December 12 and 13, so look forward to this economical opportunity for your child to select their own Christmas gifts for you! The PTC welcomes any donations of gift wrap, bags, ribbon etc. to help ensure their gifts are a surprise! Thank you to Amber Marie Frasier for stepping up to chair the SCRIP program! Amber has some great ideas on ways to help grow this program which has great potential to offset tuition costs for families! Look for more info on how you can get involved soon! If you have not completed the VIRTUS Refresher course, which is a mandatory requirement to volunteer in the classroom, drive for a field trip, etc., there will be one last opportunity on Tuesday, November 27 at 4:00 PM in the Fr. Whalen Room. NOTE: If you have never taken the initial VIRTUS course, you must take that as well. Please go to this link and register for the online version of the course. Thank you, mom, for this delicious dinner. The Almighty has done great things for me! Thank you for letting me use your legos. Thank you for being my friend. Silence. Thank you, Jesus, for coming into my heart. Please help your child develop their skills in practicing the virtues, as these represent a concrete example of Jesus in our daily lives. Electrical and Machine Club! We are excited to offer a new after school club! If you are interested in figuring out how things work, learning about using different tools and machines, discovering more about electricity, this might just be the club for you! Mr. Terry Coomer, a parishioner who had a long career in this field of work, is interested in facilitating this club to pass along some of the valuable skills he has acquired. This club will probably meet on Tuesdays, and may meet each week or every other week. We will be working out those details once we assess the interest level of the students for this kind of after school club. Please the school office, or have your child sign the roster in the office, if they are interested in this. Thank you for your help with this!

3 V.I.P Winners! Our staff has decided to recognize students who go above and beyond to model the virtues. This Virtuous Inspired Person award will be given when a student has been observed modeling a particular virtue in a way that is inspiring. We awarded several students this distinction after Mass on Thursday. Congratulations to: Jadyn B., Landon B., Lydia A., Amelia H., Trevor S., Dominic B., Aiden D., Owen K., and Kayla H. Keep up the great work, Bluewaves! Second Grade Winners! The second grade class has been working hard in MobyMax and it has paid off! They have won the MobyMax Sweepstakes. Graesyn has won the Mini GelPenPack and he was so kind to pick the Finger Skateboards for his other classmates in the second grade class that are active in MobyMax which are all of them! Great job second grade class which includes Aldin, Andrew, Ella, Emma, Fiona, Graesyn, Landon, Mason, Max, Miriam, Nathan, and Sarah. Also a special thank you for Graesyn for living out his virtues of thoughtfulness and generosity towards his classmate

4 Auction Help Needed! It is time to start getting items gathered for our dinner auction, scheduled for March 2, 2019 at the K of C Hall. I would like to challenge all other families to get their items sent in and have come up with a small competition to make it a little interesting! The first class to get 100% participation through a donated item will receive a special lunch on me! In addition, each successive class that gets 100% participation will also receive a treat from me! So hit the sales and get creative on what kinds of items YOU would like to see in a basket! Also, keep your eyes peeled for baskets that you may have or see on sale that could be used to create appealing silent auction packages! Hi, I am Sharon Hardenbergh, the Director of Religious Education (DRE) here at St. Paul and St. Joseph Parish. My ministry encompasses religious education for the school and religious education Sunday program, along with sacramental preparation for our children. I have been a DRE for 18 years, completed the theology courses at Sienna Heights University and have been commissioned by Bishop Boyea as a Lay Ecclesial Minister in I am married to a wonderful husband, Bob, who not only supports my ministry, but is a part of all that I do for the church. We have two grown sons and three grandchildren. My main office is at St. Joseph School building. The students will see me either in the halls or a classroom at school during the week. I am here to support and guide, in any way, our teachers, both in school and our religious education program. I love to see the faces of our children and the love they have for God. You may have received from time to time information on activities that are offered by me during Advent, Lent or Vacation Bible School or service for our community. Some may think these activities are only for those attending our Sunday Religious Education program. I want to clarify; all things offered through my office are for ALL FAMILIES of our parish, as we are one family. I have had children in our community and surrounding communities attend some of these activities and I welcome them with open arms. Jesus said Let the children come to me, that is what my ministry is, to bring ALL Jesus children to Him. I hope to see all school and Sunday religious education families at our parish activities. We try our best to let the children have fun by learning a little more about Jesus, our faith and build on their relationship with Christ. May God bless you always. Mrs. Hardenbergh

5 Prayers for our School This weekend we are kicking off a campaign to ask people to intentionally pray for our school. As you know we are experiencing a drop in enrollment. We know that prayer is such a key factor in our lives, we are confident that, with prayer, our school will rebound and will once again thrive and grow. The prayer is written below. Attached to this Wavewatcher, the website, and located in baskets next to our Prayer Cross at St. Paul Church, will be a form for you to complete when you have prayed the prayer 5 times. We will then add a stone to the cross, and we will see our prayers grow. We are so appreciative of your support! God Bless!
