Luncheon11:45 am Prayer Shawl Ministry Resurrection at here and now. John 11 revealed the Resurrection as the present and future reality. Three days after Lazarus died, Jesus came and met Martha, a sister of Lazarus. I can found in their conversation both the present and future reality of the resurrection. Jesus said, Your brother will rise again. (Present reality) Martha answered, I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day. (Future reality.) Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (Present reality living in the faith) Jesus asked, Do you believe this? (an invitation to the faith of resurrection as present reality). Jesus came to the tomb and said, Take away the stone. After he prayed Jesus said, Lazarus, come out, Take off the grace clothes and let him go. (Present reality). Resurrection begins at here and now with the faith of Jesus Christ. I feel the power of resurrection each morning when I see dark night changing into the dawn and light. I hear it when the bird singing. I see it when the nature shows the glory of God season by season. I know it works in me in faith, hope, joy, and assurance. I feel it in my heart with people when we sing a song of the promise of the resurrection. The power of the resurrection works here and it continues until when the Lord Jesus will finally complete it at the last day. Thanks be to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Happy and Blessed Easter to you all! Paul The Called Church Conference met March 4 (Sun), and voted for proceeding "Vision Process,2018." We have prayed and planned it since October last year. The first phase was congregational "Bible Reading Plan 2018," beginning January. More update about this process will be announced. We ask for your prayer and discernment. "See, I am doing a new thing!" Choir News Easter Cantata The St. Paul Adult Choir will present their Easter Cantata on Palm Sunday, March 25. The cantata is called The Alleluia Tree, with text by Susan Boersma, and original music and hymn arrangements by Mark Hayes. The choir has been working hard rehearsing our weekly Sunday anthems along with the cantata pieces. We are excited to help lead worship on Palm Sunday and share the story of Christ's last week through song! Singers Wanted! The St. Paul Adult Choir always has an open door for any new interested singers! No experience required! Would love to have you join us! We meet Wednesday nights in the choir room at 7:15pm for an hour and then rehearse just before service at 9:30am on Sundays. If you are not interested in a weekly commitment, we also invite you to share your musical talents through the summer while the choir takes a break. We approach the cross with thanksgiving for the forgiveness of our sins, yet rejoicing in the message of the Resurrection. Thank you Jesus! 6 Page 4 Page 9 Cub Scout PACK 145 Easter Sunrise Service April 1, We will meet at 6:45 am and the service will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Paul Song giving the sermon. Following the service, there will be free coffee and a light breakfast. If it is raining the service will be in the fellowship hall. We will be joined by the Presbyterian Church. THE UPPER ROOM The Upper Room The Upper Room Devotional magazine published by The United Methodist Publishing House is a wonderful source of inspiration, devotion and spirit building hope! It is an inspiring devotional to begin your day. You are encouraged to get a copy from the church and they are available in the vestibule of the church, free or you may contribute a dollar for cost. And one of the neat ideas is to save and create a Devotional Booklet for yourself from the various writers and articles that appear. You can create and use for a personal and private devotional guide. Why not give it a try, you will like it, and it will make a difference in your life, as it has in the lives of others! Mission Continues The UMM initiates spiritual growth opportunities for all men of the church. Men of different gifts, graces and areas of interest are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings on the third Thursday at 6:30 PM. Please mark your calendars: March 15th August 16th April 19th September 20th May 17th October 18th June 21st November 15th Alta Mons July 19th December - no meeting There are many opportunities for participation to continue the goals within St. Paul UMC and the community along with our charter with THREE Boy Scout units: Cub Scout Pack 145, Boy Scout Troop 145 and Venture Crew 145. WITNESS COMMITTEE The Witness Committee has been busy meeting and getting ready for our new Pictorial Directory. We want to thank all that have signed up to have pictures made and encourage those that haven t to do so soon! Pictures will be made March and you must have your picture in the directory to get a directory. Also thanks to those that are serving as hostess for our sign up and for picture days! We appreciate the help very much. If you would like to bring canned goods or snacks that will be given to MCEAP and/or Micah book pack you will receive a $5.00 off coupon for purchases you might make on your pictures. Coupons for military service (active or not), first responders or Senior Citizen (60+) can be obtained on the Lifetouch website. Remember there will be a lot more work to be done after pictures are made before the directory will be in our hands. So please be patient and we will keep you posted when they arrive. We have passed the taking of church flowers that aren't given by individuals to the caring groups. They are doing a great job with this and we just felt they were a better fit for getting the flowers into the homes of our friends that would benefit most from their beauty. We continue to prepare and hand out visitor bags and the Prayer Shawl group continues to knit and crochet shawls, and lap blankets. Thus far in 2018 we have given out 4 and plan on having another blessing of new ones on March 11, 2018.

It WAS NOW ABOUT NOON, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. When he had s aid this, he breathed his last. Now there was a man named Joseph...a good and upright man...from the Judean town of Arimathea...Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus body. Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid... On THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!
