2 WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE A GREAT MISSION TRIP? The Answer: It's all about the PEOPLE who come to serve - their hearts, their willingness to do any job even if it is small and their focus in being Christs' hands and feet daily while in the country where they are serving. Mission trips can leave a lasting impression both with those who were touched by the services of the mission team AND also among mission team members. This year God Is Grace, through Kelly Green Global, took seven team members to Uganda to serve over a period of 52 days. The ﬁrst to come was Susan Deahl from Dallas, TX. Susan served in Tororo and ﬂew to Uganda with Beth Green to begin visiting the 30 women in Tororo, Uganda in God Is Grace. The second team came after Susan left and consisted of Karen Levine (Tampa, FL), Bennie Pierce (Lakeland, FL) and Lindsey Thomas (Daytona Beach, FL). This team also visited 30 women while in Uganda. The third group to serve was made up of Katherine Glardon (Grand Rapids, MI), Pamela Valkema (Holland, MI) and Connie Albright (Bradley, FL). This last team was able to complete the ﬁnal number of visits for the women of God Is Grace These team members helped God Is Grace accomplish many tasks on the mission trip - sometimes serving long hours and being willing to serve in any needed capacity. We are indeed grateful to them for their willingness to GO, traveling long hours and many bumpy roads. We are also thankful to their donors who helped provide the way for them to serve this summer through God Is Grace. Not all people can go, but how wonderful it is for those who understand the call and are willing to support those who are led! HOW DID GOD USE THESE TEAM MEMBERS?

3 98 women in God Is Grace were visited: While visiting these women, we were able to hear their life stories and give donations for needs such as Malaria nets, children's clothing, Bibles, feminine products (washable), solar lights, wooden toy cars and handmade baby dolls. Along with this, we represented each sponsor, bringing each woman a gift/photo/note to from her sponsor. Each team member was encouraged to share in interviewing the God is Grace women, recording the information received and helping to assimilate the donated gifts we gave to each woman. We visited all Sponsored Classes in God Is Grace: Our team members got the opportunity to meet the women of the Tailoring, Hairdressing, Baking, and Jewelry Classes. In addition to meeting these women, the team also participated in sharing gifts with Women of Hope [women living with HIV] and our Heavenly Creations Class [young women who had to drop out of school due to lack of school fees and/or pregnancy]. In each of these settings, our team got to interact with these classes and hear about their struggles.

The women were taught on this day by a veterinarian how to raise goats, chickens and pigs. The women also heard one of our Mission Team members, Bennie Pierce, share her personal testimony. One woman accepted Christ after hearing how Christ has changed Bennie's life!

5 Graduation: Our team was able to participate in graduations which were major accomplishments for these God Is Grace women. Our team helped assemble gifts for the graduates and visited with them BEFORE graduation. We celebrated with these women on THEIR day and were able to give lots of hugs of encouragement. The women graduating have never been celebrated for accomplishments and we were fortunate to be a part of these great days as women received gifts from God Is Grace donors to use in helping them build their new businesses. We had 39 women graduate in hairdressing (1 year program) and 30 women graduate in sewing (a two year program) through God Is Grace classes this year. Hairdressing class graduates received the gift of hair care products to help them have supplies in order to open a salon. Sewing class graduates received a sewing machine, thanks to donors. 6 dedication service for a school/church built by Kelly Green Global. This school will use the building during the week then on weekends, the church, Konko Evangel, will use the building. It was built as a multipurpose building and is under the direction of Pastor Deo Kimenyi, who is both headmaster and Pastor of the church/school. Pastor Deo's vision to provide an education for children in the Konko area, who may not have had the opportunity for education, came to pass through the gift of this permanent building from donors to Kelly Green Global. Participate in a Baby/Children's Clinic: Gifts were given by two donors to supply funds for our team members to be a part of an all day Baby/Children's Clinic. Ugandan health officers were hired to evaluate illnesses and prescribe treatment. These gifts were given specifically to benefit the village of Masese, a community where many wealthier homes exist among very large slums. Our team served in the pharmacy, gave out worm pills, and supplied every child with a lollipop upon leaving. We also worked with crowd control as 437 babies/children were treated that day!

Added events: When the team had extra time, we visited Nile View Primary school and Sangaalo Babies Home. Both experiences are forever etched in our minds!

Each team member brings a particular gifting and we like to use those gifts while on foreign soil.

What truly makes a great mission trip is when people connect with people. Kelly Green Global has the ability to set up mission trips according to the passions of those who sign up. Each team member brings a particular gifting and we like to use those gifts while on foreign soil. Many people who have gone with us in the past do not feel that they have particular gifts needed for a mission trip - yet we believe that through seeking out one's passion, we can place individuals in an area where they love to serve! You have read a newsletter from this past summer's Mission Trip with Kelly Green Global. This team consisted of God Is Grace Advisory team members, teachers, a social worker, repeat mission team members from previous years, a mom who had adopted children in the U.S. and a writer. As you can see, we arranged for this team to experience and be involved "one-on-one" with the women of God Is Grace and with events which involved their interests. We are able

8 however, through our contacts, to form mission trips according to the desires and passions of team members who might have other interests (example: sports, building, etc). In past years, we have offered medical/dental clinics, school presentations, pastors' conferences, and working with other nonpro ts in Uganda, Brazil, and Cambodia. Our goal is to serve people through various means while in an area so that as Christ-followers we are able to minister to the vulnerable and the broken.
