2 Welcome to Worship at First Presbyterian Church Neenah, Wisconsin We are grateful for your presence and invite you to participate in the life and ministry of our congregation. If you are new to First Presbyterian, please identify yourself by wearing one of the red roses found in the hymnal rack. We ask all present today to sign and read the friendship pads as they are passed down each pew and returned to the center aisle. This is an opportunity for us to know and greet one another by name at the end of the service. We invite you to join us for coffee and conversation in the Church Parlor after the 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services. The Coffee Hostess for today is Margaret Lorenz. Childcare (infants and toddlers through 2 years old) is available throughout Sunday morning (7:45 a.m. 11:45 a.m.) in the nursery located next to the Fellowship Hall. You are welcome to keep your infant or small child with you in church. If your infant or small child needs care or becomes uncomfortable during the service, you may leave and return as you wish. The audio portion of the 10:15 a.m. service can be heard in the Chapel where you and your child are also welcome. Children are invited to pick up a worship bag and a Bible as they enter the Chapel for the 8:00 a.m. or the Nave for the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Booster seats are also available for your child to use during worship. Please remember to return the worship bags to the stands, and the Bibles and the booster seats to the shelves when worship concludes. Wee Worship: Following the Time for Children, children ages 3 years old through the first grade may leave to attend Wee Worship, located in the preschool room next to the library. Wee Worship is a developmentally appropriate sequence for worship that involves gathering, listening, thanking, and wondering. It is designed to allow children to know and experience God in a setting that is similar to a regular service but geared toward the young child. The white rose in the Chancel this morning is in memory of Frank Schwartz, who entered the Church Triumphant on January 2, We welcome, Pastor Mike Dismer to our pulpit. Mike is a retired Lutheran pastor and is married to church member, Karen Dismer The Ushers at the 8:00 a.m. service are Liz and Steve Landig; and at the 10:15 a.m. service are Jamie and Sophie Hillend, Jo, Monny, and Mitch Hjerstedt, Rob Lewis, Margaret Lorenz and Julie Owens. First Presbyterian has a hearing loop for hearing aid users equipped with T-coils. Brochures explaining this feature are available in the pews. Large print bulletins (with hymns included) are available, please ask an usher. 1

Integrating Counseling with Spirituality Led by Rosangela Berbert, Samaritan Counseling Center of Fox Valley People seek counseling for many reasons. Feeling lost and disconnected are common phrases clients use to explain why they are seeking counseling. In times of struggles, concerns, and fears, a person may have difficulty engaging faith and spiritual values in order to cope. When spirituality is integrated with psychotherapy in the counseling process, mind and spirit come together to help individuals derive hope, meaning, purpose and understanding from their lives. Come learn how clinicians at the Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley practice spiritually integrated psychotherapy to help clients connect mind and spirit so they can thrive.
