Classes are held on the 2 nd & 3 rd Tuesday of each month. Please come by the Parish Office to register or call for more information. Reconciliation The Sacrament of Penance is offered on Saturdays, from 4:30p.m. to 5:30p.m. or by appointment. Sacrament of Marriage Please contact the Parish Office at least (6) six months prior to your desired wedding date to arrange a meeting with Father Tony or one of the Deacons. If you want a Mass, you must call Father Tony. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Are you a non-catholic who is interested in joining the Catholic faith? Are you a baptized Catholic who has never received the sacraments of 1 st Communion and Confirmation? If your answer is yes to either of these questions, call the Parish Office. Sacrament of First Communion First Communion candidates must be baptized, at least in the second grade, and have been attending CCE classes for two full years previous to their receiving the Sacrament. Adults needing First Communion should refer to the rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Sacrament of Confirmation Confirmation candidates must have previously received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Communion. They must have faithfully attended Life Teen for at least one full year prior to beginning preparation for the Sacrament (more than three absences without a valid excuse can alter the process). A signed form stating that the parent/guardian and the candidate understand all requirements is also necessary before the preparation begins. Adults needing confirmation should refer to the Rite of Christian initiation of adults. 3 Dear parish family, World Mission Sunday World Mission Sunday is our annual worldwide Eucharistic celebration for the Missions and missionaries of the world. By this celebration we are reminded that Mission is at the Heart of Christian Faith. In his message for this year's celebration, Pope Francis help us to see World Mission Sunday as " a good opportunity for enabling the missionary heart of Christian communities to join in prayer, testimony of life and communion of goods, in responding to the vast and pressing needs of evangelization." Every October, this global collection supports missionaries in more than 1,100 mission-dependent dioceses through whose work and witness to Christ the poor receive practical help and experience God's love and mercy. Our second collection this Sunday therefore connect us concretely to those mission churches in their work of evangelization and uplift those thirsting for hope and love. Let us be generous and, above all, keep the Missions in our prayers. We have a particular "mission" to do in our parish: to strengthen the bonds of our parish family not only though our shared faith but also as friends and good neighbors through socials and fellowships. We have that opportunity coming. Our parish family Bazaar is next Sunday! It s our day of fellowship and to have a family fun under the Fall Sun. Please invite all your family, friends and neighbors to have wonderful time with us. While all are set with regards to the prizes, booths, games, food and other stuff pertaining to the bazaar, we are still much in need of volunteers. Please sign up to any of the booths or whatever service you can offer. A little giving up of your time to serve means a lot and helps big time. You still have a week more to sell the raffle tickets, remember it is the lifeblood of our Bazaar. We still have a lots of them. Who knows you can be a winner! We spend a little money for family fun, give time and energy for parish bonding and fellowships then in the end our church benefits the proceeds. The bottom line, everybody wins nobody loses. Let s all work hard to make the Bazaar a great success and pray that the weather cooperates. God s blessings are beyond measure and out of proportion of what we give back to Lord. Yet somehow the blessings we receive are just the returns of what we are giving to the Lord God. We can just imagine the abundance of blessings of what God would be giving to us in return if only there are many people who are truly living a Christian life! Let us think therefore of what we can do more in giving back to God what is due to Him in our homes, at work, and in particular in supporting our parish church. Blessings to you and have a good week! Fr. Tony Querida familia parroquial, Domingo de Misiones Mundial El domingo Mundial de las Misiones es nuestra anual celebración mundial Eucarística por las Misiones y misioneros del mundo. Por esta celebración se nos recuerda que la Misión está en el Corazón de la Fe Cristiana. En el mensaje por la celebración de este año el Papa Francisco nos ayuda a ver el Domingo Mundial de Misiones como una buena oportunidad para que el corazón de los misioneros de las comunidades se unan en la oración, testimonio de vida y el bien común, al responder a la gran cantidad de necesidad de evangelización. Cada octubre esta colecta global apoya a más de 1,100 misiones que dependen del diócesis que atraves del trabajo y testimonio de Cristo los pobres reciben ayuda practica y experimentan el amor y misericordia de Dios. Nuestra segunda colecta de este domingo nos conecta concretamente a las iglesias misioneras en su trabajo de evangelización y animar a los que tienen sed de amor y esperanza. Seamos generosos y sobre todo mantengamos a las Misiones en nuestras oraciones. Tenemos una misión particular que cumplir en nuestra parroquia: en fortalecer los lazos en nuestra familia parroquial no solo por medio de nuestra fe sino también como buenos amigos y vecinos a través de eventos sociales y compañerismo. Tenemos una oportunidad que se nos presenta. Nuestro Bazar familiar de la parroquia es el próximo domingo! Es nuestro día de compañerismo y un día de diversión familiar bajo el sol de otoño. Por favor inviten a toda su familia, amigos y vecinos que vengan a pasar un buen tiempo con nosotros. Aunque ya tengamos listo los premios, puestos, juegos, comida y otras cosas para el bazar, aun necesitamos mucha ayuda de los voluntarios. Por favor anótense en cualquier puesto o en cualquier servicio que puedan brindar. Un poquito de su tiempo que den para servir significa mucho y ayuda mucho. Aún tienen una semana más para vender los boletos para la rifa, recuerden que esto es lo indispensable para nuestro Bazar. Aún tenemos muchos. Quizás tú puedas ser el ganador! Gastamos un poco de dinero para divertirnos con la familia, dando nuestro tiempo y energía para unir lazos de compañerismo en la parroquia y al final nuestra iglesia beneficia de los resultados. Al final de cuentas, todos ganamos nadie pierde. Vamos a trabajar para que nuestro Bazar sea un gran éxito y oremos para que el tiempo coopere. Las bendiciones de Dios están fuera de nuestras medidas en proporción de lo que le regresamos al Señor. Sin embargo las bendiciones que recibimos son lo que él nos regresa en cambio de lo que le damos a nuestro Señor Dios. Solo podemos imaginarnos en las bendiciones en abundancia de lo que Dios le daría a las personas que verdaderamente viven una vida Cristiana! Vamos a pensar pues en lo más que podemos hacer para darle a Dios lo que a El de corresponder en nuestros hogares, trabajos, y en particular en apoyar a nuestra iglesia parroquial. If you would like to be contacted through our Telephone Tree, please call the office with your contact information. Reception Volunteers Needed Would you be interested in donating food for our funeral receptions? We have three funeral teams that do the receptions on a rotating basis. You do not have to attend the reception, but can drop off your donations anytime before the service. Also, we are in need of volunteers to help with the receptions following funerals. This ministry is a true blessing to our parish. If you would like to donate food or join one of our teams, please contact the office. Every volunteer does make a difference!!! If you have any questions or are willing to be apart of one of the ministries listed above, please come by Rosary Hall after all Masses this weekend and sign up.
