Amen HOMELESS SHELTER MEALS The parish is being asked to provide dinner on the 1st Sunday of each month for the guests at the emergency homeless shelter at St. Joseph s Church in Lorain. Our first meal, which includes: meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, green beans and dessert, will be provided this weekend, Sunday, November 1st. We are asking you to prepare some or all of the meal. Please be sure the food is cooked, it does not need to be hot, and please package all food items for spill proof transportation. Drop off your donation to the Holy Trinity Church Parking Lot on Sunday, November 1st from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Thank you in advance for your continued generosity. NON-PERISHABLE FOOD is collected on the First Sunday of each month throughout the year. All food is donated to the Choice Food Pantry at St. Mary s in Lorain. Please place all food items by the choir loft stairs this weekend. HOLY TRINITY LADIES GUILD will meet on Monday, November 2nd in the Modular Meeting Room at 7:00 PM. All ladies of the parish are invited to join. GOD S LIFE IN US.. Session III The 3rd segment of the God s Life In Us series will be held on Tuesday evening November 3rd at 7:00 PM in the modular. 3 Holy Trinity Parish Avon, Ohio ATTENTION: 8TH GRADE CONFIRMANDI Please plan on attending the 8th grade Service Fair on Saturday, November 7th from 9:30 to 2:30. The Holy Trinity Christian Service Fair partially fulfills the Christian Service Requirement portion of the Confirmation Preparation Program. All candidates are required to attend. All RSVPs were due Oct. 14th. Please remember to bring $5, a snack and a drink EVENINGS OF REFLECTION FOR MEN AND WOMEN All men and women of the parish are invited to attend an Evening of Reflection. The RSVP forms are located on the parish website under the News tab. Both events include dinner, presentation, discussion and reflection and will be held at St. Mary of the Woods, Detroit Road, Avon. Please register by calling the Parish Office at Our Baptism preparation program introduces parents to the Rite of Baptism and the role that parents and godparents are called to fulfill in the faith formation of children. Parents should attend one Baptism Preparation prior to the Baptism of their first child or if it has been greater than five years since they last attended. BOOK CLUB The next Holy Trinity Book Club meeting is Monday, November 30, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center. We will discuss the book The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, the improbable, intimate account of how nine working class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit meant. The University of Washington s eight-oar crew team was never expected to defeat the elite teams of the East Coast and Great Britain, yet they did, going on to shock the world by defeating the German team rowing for Adolf Hitler. All are welcome to join us. VETERANS INVITED Holy Trinity School will conduct its second annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 12:45 PM on Wednesday, November 11th in our Church.
