The only service in the Benefice on Sunday 1st Jan will be a service of Holy Communion for the whole of the West Wight Cluster, Brighstone Church Brighstone 8.00 Holy Communion recommences every Sunday from the 8th January 2017 onwards.

3 Christmas Tree Festival 2016 A HUGE thank you to those who worked so hard to make it such a fantastic and successful event and especially Chris Goodman! Slipshod Singers/Brighstone Barnacles in Concert As part of the Christmas Tree Festival, the Brighstone Barnacles and The Slipshod Singers, held a well attended concert on the Friday evening. This raised a most impressive from a retiring collection that will help swell the funds raised towards restoring St Mary's Brighstone Church roof. Our thanks goes out to all that took part; whether being a singer, caterer, background worker or there just to enjoy an evening that held a real village feel. Many thanks Miriam and Dave Crewe. AgeUK IW Community Coffee Morning and Pitch up at the Pub Coffee morning at The Methodist Church Brighstone, on Tuesday morning, or pop in to Pitch up at the Pub at The Crown Inn Shorwell, 10:30-12 on Friday morning. Blokes Bacon Butties & Bacon Wednesday 21st December Join us for the next catch up at Shorwell Parish Hall with bacon butties & chat. We had a great trip to the Military Museum at Northwood, lunch, a go on the firing range and all came back in one piece! Youth Groups All our youth groups take a break now until Friday 13th January with a meeting at Catalyst, with Andy Dorning as the speaker. Brighstone Church Bookstall We have a good selection of items which may be suitable for Christmas stocking fillers. There are 3 in 1 pens, small candles, nativity cards and Angels. It's worth having a look!
