Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick Please call the parish office as soon as possible to arrange for the celebration of this sacrament for those seriously ill or in danger of death. Funeral/Christian Burial Arrangements with Parish Office must be completed before setting a date and time for the service. Communion Calls Please call the parish office if a Eucharistic Minister is needed to bring Holy Communion to a homebound or confined parishioner. 3 APRIL 15, 2018 From the Acts of the Apostles: Peter said to the people... The author of life you put to death, but God raised Him from the dead; of this we are witnesses. Reflection: After curing a crippled beggar, Peter announces what the first generation of Christians and we believe: Christ is raised from the dead and a new age has dawned. The old order of death is passing away. Jesus is alive and his followers are showing in their words and actions bold signs of his healing presence working with them. So, we ask ourselves: - Can I name some ways I witness to my faith in the Risen Christ? - How am I a sign to others of Jesus healing presence in the world? LEGION OF MARY ACIES CELEBRATION Holy Trinity s Legion of Mary will host the annual Acies celebration for all Active and Auxiliary members on Saturday, April 21 at 10am in the chapel. The Legion prayers, Benediction and Adoration will be followed by a social gathering in rooms 8/10 in the Faith Formation wing. The Legion will provide wraps sandwiches, coffee, tea, etc. Please bring a store bought dessert, salad etc. to share. THE SOUL OF POETRY Share the Journey Thursday, April 26 at 7pm St. Cecilia Church, Bainbridge Island Four State Poet Laureates will celebrate and raise awareness of the humanitarian aid programs of Catholic Relief Services in over 100 countries. The evening will also feature Rev. John Topel, SJ, theologian, who draws upon Scripture to address our call to serve the poorest of the poor. Musicians will perform music from Ennio Morricone's "The Mission." The event is free and a reception will follow. 4 APRIL 15, 2018 FAITH FORMATION All children planning to receive the sacrament of eucharist/communion this year are expected to attend the First Communion retreat on April 21 at 10am. At least one parent is required to attend with their child. Please contact the Faith Formation Office if you have not received notice of this event or if you have any questions. Is your PreK-7 Grade child currently enrolled in faith formation here at Holy Trinity? If so, we are excited to provide you with our new STREAMLINED faith formation enrollment process for next year s classes! Graduating Class of 2018 The Faith Formation Commission awards a scholarship each year to a graduating senior from Holy Trinity Parish. On Sunday, April 22, at 11am, a representative from the Faith Formation Commission will be in Room 11 of the Faith Formation Wing, to pass out and discuss the application process. If you cannot attend this meeting, please pick up an application in the Faith Formation Office. The deadline to submit completed packets is Sunday, May 6. No exceptions.
