Christmas Eve Holy Eucharist Service with Children s Nativity will be at 4:30pm. Office Hours this week Monday and Friday 9:00am-1:30pm. Share your love of singing on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Christian Unity Service at Holy Trinity Church! We are forming an ecumenical choir for the occasion. The ecumenical service begins at 2 p.m. on the 19th. Rehearsals will be Tuesday, Jan. 14, 7:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 18, a.m. Contact Dorothy Frisch if you would like to join the choir! CLASS INFORMATION: There will not be any Yoga or Tai Chi classes this week. The wardens and Fr. Richard are supportive of our parish participating. Bishop Fisher sees it as a justice and NOT a political issue. Casino gambling, +Fisher says, is bad news for the poor and bad news for communities. For the next 6 Sundays there will be petition forms to sign, by town, at the back of the church. 10 Play Ground Toys - I believe that God has given us a Calling, a Mission, an opportunity to be of some help in the Hamilton Neighborhood. West Street School is in need of play ground toys. The children have playground equipment but no toys, no balls, hula hoops, Frisbees etc. You can help by donating any gently used or new outdoor toys that would be suitable for play ground use - i.e. balls all sizes/types, foot ball, soccer, basketball, foam etc, hula hoops or Frisbees etc. Please bring them to church and place in the box at the back of the church. We will make sure they get to West Street School. Please see Tamsin Lucey with questions. Portico Fundraiser update - Thank you to the 19 people who have supported the repair of the portico and foyer columns! To date we have $8,010 pledged. We must report that the financial need became greater this week when the construction company started work on the portico and discovered the entire internal structure has deteriorated beyond repair; we now must have it reconstructed requiring nearly double the cost. The vestry is committed to being good stewards while we are in this building and we will are moving ahead cautiously, but the reconstruction will proceed. Speak to any vestry member for unfolding details, and watch for an all parish communication. Susan Howland, for the vestry Community Harvest Supper - Coming together to celebrate the harvest is a time honored tradition. Please join us: Saturday, October 19, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. There will be a community Harvest Supper of sausages cooked on the BBQ, peppers and onions, baked potatoes and squash casseroles, with apple desserts, and apple cider. Parishioners are invited to bring a crock pot squash casserole OR apple dessert to share. In October, the health team of twelve men and women from Canada and the USA will go to Cambodia for the second time. They hope to provide medical, dental, vision and spiritual care to 2000 patients! They hope to provide medical, dental, vision and spiritual care to 2000 patients! They stay for two weeks and work with the Cambodians so that their work can continue. Gerry takes over prescription eyeglasses that are donated. Through his computer he is able to match the person's visual needs with what he has available. Believe me, this team has many GOD MOMENTS!
