2 What we do... and why we do it. Meet a Monk because it s a whole new view of the world In 5 th week this term we ll be welcoming six monks and nuns. They ll be joining in our prayers and meals and teaching us a bit about theirs. Look out for the timetable of extra Chapel services and talks, and ask Mel for details. Keep silence because it s good for our mind, body, and soul. And everyone is included. 5pm, Thursdays (30 mins) Talk... because it s how we find out what we think. We ll be reading a chapter each week of Lost Icons by Rowan Williams in my room (5:2). The more the merrier. We can read each chapter together, so no prep needed pm, Fridays, with free lunch Give... because it makes us human. The Parasol Project ( helps children in Oxford with disabilities or a vulnerable home-life to play and make friends in a safe environment. Its focus is on including children whatever their needs. Please leave what you can. Want to volunteer in Oxford? Let s talk options. Take... because it s how we grow. You can turn up at any service, for any reason, any time, no questions asked. Bring anyone you like, and take from it whatever you take. Times of services printed opposite. Celebrate... because the world is full of joy. The Eucharist happens three times a week in term. Mel will also be delighted to discuss baptism, confirmation, confession, unction, ordination, and marriage. Have you been confirmed yet? The Bishop is coming on May 25 th Relax... because you are not a machine. Chapel is yours. Use it for quiet time: to think, to get away from your desk, to cry, to pray. If you find it locked, ask at the Lodge for the key. You can leave your thoughts or worries (anonymously) on the prayer board. Mel will pray for them.
