Debt Reduction Envelopes in Pews Once each month we will place envelopes for contributions toward our parish debt reduction. So far 44 people have contributed nearly $18K. Reducing our debt also reduces our interest payments, so please help us eliminate our debt. Extra envelopes are available on the credenza in the Narthex. Creighton Model Fertility Care Stop the medical and moral worrying! The FertilityCare System (Creighton Model) Introductory Session is offered monthly at Good Shepherd. It s helpful for both achieving and avoiding pregnancy, fulfills the marriage policy requirement for engaged couples, has medical applications, and is effective in treating infertility. During the day you may explore the grounds with its many lakes and paths, its university campus, historic buildings, gardens, orchards, and cemetery, or spend a quiet reflection time in the Abbey

For those who want more to do on Sunday we will take the bus into Minneapolis and drop you off at The Mall of America for a few hours, then take those who want to see the amazing Basilica of St Mary

3 GOOD SHEPHERD ON THE BUS - AGAIN! LABOR DAY WEEKEND - SEPTEMBER 1 3, 2018 MINNESOTA, HERE WE COME! Spend two nights at St John Abbey, the largest Monastery in the Country. We will sleep in the guest house, eat and pray with the Monks. During the day you may explore the grounds with its many lakes and paths, its university campus, historic buildings, gardens, orchards, and cemetery, or spend a quiet reflection time in the Abbey Church. The Abbey Church is notable for its architecture and the enormous bell banner situated in front of it. For those who want more to do on Sunday we will take the bus into Minneapolis and drop you off at The Mall of America for a few hours, then take those who want to see the amazing Basilica of St Mary for a visit there, returning that evening to St. John Abbey. Basilica of St. Mary Call the parish office ( ) to register or for more information. Itinerary Sept 1 - Depart Good Shepherd at 7am Arrive at St John Abbey approx. 5pm, check into rooms and dinner with the Monks Sept 2-7am Morning Prayer with the Monks, followed by a Complimentary Breakfast and Mass at 10:30am, then an open day on the campus, with Evening Prayer at 5pm. Lunch, 11:45-12:45, $10.50 per person For those who want to go into Minneapolis, we board the bus at 1:30 arriving at the Mall of America at 3:00. From there the metro rail line may used to explore the city, or take the bus at 4:00 to visit the Basilica of St Mary. Those visiting the Basilica will return to the Mall at 6pm. The bus will take all visitors back to St. John Abbey at 8pm. Sept 3-7am Morning Prayer with the Monks, followed by a Complimentary Breakfast.
