We are again asking anyone who would like to help in any way by sewing, (machine and hand), pinning, ironing, etc. If anyone would like to donate fabric or money to buy fabric that would be awesome. This Lenten season, Development and Peace/Caritas Canada invites us to learn more about peace and dialogue as part of the Share Lent Campaign. Thank you for your generosity and your solidarity! The Chrism Mass touches the sacramental and worship life of every church in the diocese. Because of this, every parish is invited and encouraged to be present and join in this most holy celebration. At this gathering, the priests of the diocese will renew their commitment to priestly ministry and their loyalty and obedience to their Shepherd. The Oil of the Sick (OS), Oil of the Catechumens (OC), and Sacred Chrism (SC) will be blessed by Bishop Mark Hagemoen. The oils received at the Chrism Mass by parish representatives will then be taken back to their respective parishes for use in sacramental anointing s. The Chrism Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 pm, Monday, March 26 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, (at Attridge Drive and Forestry Farm Park Drive), Saskatoon. An invitation is extended to all in the diocese to come and join with Bishop Mark Hagemoen in this celebration of unity.

6 THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN A YEAR FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT 68. Why does the human race form a unity? All people form the unity of the human race by reason of the common origin which they have from God. God has made from on ancestor all the nations of men (Acts 17.26). All have but one Savior and are called to share in the eternal happiness of God. Further reading: CCC How does the soul and body form a unity in the human being? A human being is a being at once corporeal and spiritual. In man spirit and matter form on nature. This unity is so profound that, thanks to the spiritual principle which is the soul, the body which is material, becomes a living human body and participates in the dignity of the image of God. Further reading: CCC , Where does the soul come from? The spiritual soul does not come from one s parents but is created immediately by God and is immortal. It does not perish at the moment when it is separated from the body in death and it will be once again reunited with the body at the moment of the final resurrection. Further reading: CCC , What relationship has God established between man and woman? Man and woman have been created by God in equal dignity insofar as they are human persons. At the same time, they have been created in a reciprocal complementarity insofar as they are masculine and feminine. God has willed them one for the other to form a communion of persons. They are also called to transmit human life by forming in matrimony one flesh (Gen ). They are likewise called to subdue the earth as stewards of God. Further reading: CCC , 383. Lenten Reflection: We believe and confess that Jesus of Nazareth, born a Jew of a daughter of Israel of Bethlehem at the time of King Herod the Great and the emperor Caesar Augustus, a carpenter by trade, who die crucified in Jerusalem under the procurator Pontius Pilate during the reign of the emperor Tiberius, is the eternal Son of God made man. He came from God (Jn 13.3), descended from heaven (Jn 3.13; 6.33), and came in the flesh (1Jn 4.2). For the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. And from this fullness have we all received, grace upon grace (Jn 1.14, 16) (CCC 423.) Reflect on the following question: How would you speak of Jesus to someone who has never heard of Him?
