Thus did Jeremiah, and later, Jesus, encounter opposition and lack of faith; thus did both place their hope in the Lord. Paul speaks eloquently of the greatest of all gifts: love. Monday: Heb 11:32-40; Ps 31:20-24; Mk 5:1-20 In Christ, the faith and hope of the chosen people has been made perfect. In Christ, the power of evil is overcome. Es interesante como el pueblo cristiano tiene un cierto afecto para Jesús en su aspecto de niño. Desde hace siglos con el evangelista Lucas y la virgen María la imaginación cristiana ha ido buscando al Divino Niño en el templo; con san Cristóbal lleva cargando al Niño Dios sobre los hombros mientras cruza el río de la vida y san Antonio de Lisboa juega con el Niñito Jesús sobre un libro teológico mientras estudia la Palabra de Dios. Fueron los monjes cistercienses del siglo XII quienes primero desarrollaron esta devoción al Niño Jesús. En su afán por conocer mejor al Dios hecho humano entraban por medio de la meditación imaginativa en los cuatro evangelios. Esta meditación es un entrar en la vida de Jesús de tal manera que vives los eventos en tu corazón y desarrollar así una relación afectiva con el Señor. La devoción al Niño Dios debe ser acompañada de la lectio divina.

We need our children to listen to the people who are in charge of them, but this message must be communicated so that children know it s okay to stick up for themselves too. Adult predators may try to use their authority to gain control over their victims. Children should know that when it comes to private parts, secrets, and things that seem dangerous or wrong, they shouldn t worry about disobeying the adult in charge, and instead talk to a trusted adult or a parent. Key challenges such as anger with our spouse and the Church, annulment, how children cope and letting go will be addressed as well as providing a safe environment to share concerns and reconnect with understanding and a new hope. Open yourself up to experience healing and allow Jesus to restore your faith and renew your journey, every Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30pm in the Magnificat Room of 900 W. La Habra Blvd., La Habra.
