3 St. Joseph has an essential and vitally important role in Christianity and in the history of the Church. In the Bible, he is chosen to be the foster father of Jesus and the protector of the Holy Family. This is a unique and unrepeatable task in the history of the world. Joseph fulfilled his role with great love and faithfulness, and ranks among the greatest of the Saints. Let us see some of the titles of Joseph, so as to see how he continues to influence Christians: Patron of the Universal Church The Church is the "family of Jesus". Christ has made us all His brothers and sisters; He has made God our Father by dying on the Cross. In a certain sense, the great family of the Church is the great development of the Holy Family. The Family of Nazareth lived out the life of grace. The Church has taken Mary, who was Christ's Mother, as the Mother of the Church. Joseph continues to protect and care for God's family, as he did for the family God gave him on earth. Patron of Workers We learn from the Bible that Joseph was a carpenter. GO TO JOSEPH He taught his foster child Jesus the trade. Jesus grew as a man of work. Joseph is a great model of work for all. Model of fathers and husbands The virtues of Joseph are especially great as a model for men, especially men of families. Joseph was just, obedient to the Word of God, protector of Mary and the Child, hard-working, faithful, concerned. All men would do well to imitate him, especially within the home. The Patron of a good death The Bible tells us that Jesus lived at Nazareth with Mary and Joseph. But by time that Jesus is 30 years old and leaves His home, Joseph is no longer around. We presume that he died as all of us would like to die - at home, in the arms of Jesus and Mary. The feat of St. Joseph is Tuesday, March 19 th. The entire month of March is dedicated as ``The Month of St. Joseph''. St. Joseph's feastday always occurs in Lent. May Joseph assist us in preparing the way for his foster Son. 4 St. Joseph a un rôle essentiel et extrêmement important dans la Chrétienté et dans l'histoire de l'église. Dans la Bible, il est choisi à être le père nourrissier de Jésus et le protecteur de la Sainte Famille. Celui-ci est un travail unique et exceptionnel dans l'histoire du monde. Joseph a accompli son rôle avec grand amour et fidélité, et prend sa place entre les plus grands des Saints. Allons examiner quelques-uns des titres que Joseph a reçu, afin que nous puissions voir comment il continue à avoir une influence dans la vies des Chrétiens: Patron de l'église Universelle L'Église est la "famille de Jésus". Patron des Ouvriers Nous apprenons de la Bible que Joseph était un char- ALLEZ À JOSEPH pentier. Il a enseigné travail à son Fils nourissier, Jésus. Jésus est grandi comme un homme de travail. Ainsi, Joseph est un grand modèle du travail pour nous tous. Modèle des pères et des maris Les vertus de Joseph sont grandes d'une façon spéciale pour les hommes, surtout les hommes de famille. Joseph était juste, obéissant à la Parole de Dieu, protecteur de Marie et de l'enfant, travailleur, fidèle, soigneux. Il convient à les hommes imiter ces vertus surtout chez eux. Le Patron d'une Bonne Mort La Bible nous raconte que Jésus a vécu à Nazareth avec Marie et Joseph. Jésus a quitté Sa maison à l'âge de 30 ans, et Joseph n'est plus là. Nous supposons qu'il est mort comme nous voudrions mourir - chez nous, dans les bras de Jésus et Marie. La fête de St. Joseph est le mardi, 19 mars. Tout le mois de mars est dédié comme le ``Mois de St-Joseph''. La fête tombe toujours au cours de Carême. Nous aurons une Messe Haïtienne: mardi, 19 mars à 7h30 PM. 5 San José tiene un papel esencial y extremamente importante en el Cristianismo y en la historia de la Iglesia. En la Biblia, él es escogido como el padre de crianza de Jesús y el protector de la Sagrada Familia. Éste es un trabajo único y excepcional en la historia del mundo. José cumplió este papel con gran amor y fidelidad y toma su lugar entre los mayores de los Santos. Examinemos algunos de los títulos que José ha recibido, de manera que veamos cómo él continua a tener una influencia en la vida de los Cristianos: Patrón de la Iglesia Universal La Iglesia es la "familia de Jesús". El Cristo nos ha hecho a todos Sus hermanos; Él ha hecho de Dios nuestro Padre por Su muerte en la Cruz. Hay un sentido donde vemos la gran familia de la Iglesia como el desarrollo de la Sagrada Familia. La Familia de Nazareth vivía una vida de gracia. El Patrón de una Buena Muerte La Biblia nos cuenta que Jesús vivió a Nazaret con María y José. Jesús ha dejado Su casa a la edad de 30 años, y José no se encuentra. Suponemos que él su murió como todos nosotros quisiéramos morir - en nuestro hogar, en los brazos de Jesús y de María. La fiesta de San José est el martes, 19 de marzo.
