Chad Droessler, Pastor Sisters of Mary, Morning Star-Convent 4905 Schofield Street, Monona, WI PARISH STAFF Administrative Assistant Kathy Marshall Parish Secretaries Jodi Murphy (Mon.-Fri.) Bulletin, Office Cindy Dukerschein (Tue. and Wed.) Parish Records, Liturgy Schedules Finance Manager Bernie Heit Pastoral Care & Wedding Coordinator Ivonne Blahnik Director of Liturgical Music Catherine Henderson Faith Formation/Catechesis: Laura Soldner Shane Reinbold Maintenance Supervisor Mike Hegge From the Pastor s Desk M y Dear Family of Faith, You may recall participating in our parish planning study, conducted by the Steier Group earlier this year. The results of this study clearly indicated your preference to hold a campaign to raise funds solely for the maintenance needs of our parish facilities. I am grateful for the efforts of our Buildings and Grounds Committee in prioritizing a maintenance list and acquiring bids for these projects. I am also grateful to the Campaign Planning Committee for all their hard work in preparing for this effort. This weekend, we are kicking off our campaign titled Preserving our Past, Planning our Future. The goal of this campaign is to raise $750,000 to accomplish several immediate maintenance needs, as well as to increase security monitoring for our church, school and grounds and to improve access to our facilities for the disabled. We have also allowed for a portion of the funds to be reserved for unexpected repairs that may come along. All projects have been planned with careful consideration of our long range master plan and the future potential addition of a fellowship hall. It is more practical and do-able if we strive to accomplish our goals step-bystep in our plans for the future. This week, you will receive a mailing with more details about the campaign and the projects that are being planned. Unlike our Forward in Faith campaign which included Diocesan obligations, all money received this time will go only to parish projects. A pledge card will be provided, asking for a total pledge to be paid over a two-year period. I ask you to prayerfully consider how you can support our goals. September is our commitment weekend. Please plan to return your pledge card on that weekend, or you can return it by mail or in the regular collection in the coming weeks. For those who provided gifts to our Forward in Faith campaign, I want to express my deepest appreciation for your generosity, and I invite you to consider a similar gift to Preserving Our Past, Planning Our Future. Thank you for helping keep God s house and our beautiful facilities well -maintained and up-to-date. When we work together, with God s help, we can achieve great things! May God bless you for your faithful stewardship!
