He retuned home to the St. Monica Parish Campus on Tuesday, October 23rd and will continue to work on his Physical Therapy Program here! St. Benedict Catholic School Spotlight 3rd Grade News: We had a wonderful tour of the Church and visited the new location of the Baptismal font and were awed by the beautiful statues and symbols. We also reviewed some of the history and founders of St. Monica Church. The students are already back in the groove of reading their favorite stories, using numbers and place value, and writing great sentences bubbling with their personalities and sharing some amazing summer experiences! ~Mrs. Dotson and Mrs. Dileno 4th Grade News: In Math class, we are focused on place value, rounding, comparing numbers, and writing them in different forms. Stop and ask us any basic math fact! We have been practicing them. Language Arts has given us time to practice writing different types of sentences and finding the subject and predicate in each. We also have been working on a narrative writing piece. In Science, we have started to discuss what changes in ecosystems due to the biotic and abotic factors. We even got to watch a live video of Hurricane Florence and talk about what impacts she is making to those ecosystems. Gift Cards at Church November 3rd and 4th ~Mrs. Sheppard and Mrs. Yanosko For your convenience, the Guild will be selling a variety of gift cards after all Masses next weekend. Stop by the Altar Servers Sacristy and pick up a Giant Eagle, Heinen s, or Walmart card to buy the groceries you will need for your Thanksgiving celebration.
