1 Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen! On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don t know where they put him. So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in. When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place. Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet understand the Scripture that he had to rise from the dead. John 20:1-9

We have entered into the mysteries of Christ s death and resurrection, and now we rejoice! Be their Light in times of trial and darkness; their guide in a new life of Truth. Provide for them, holy men and women to support the growth of their faith. St. Mary s Parish in Westphalia Confessions Chaplet of Divine Mercy Come out and join us during this special Jubilee Year of Mercy Plenary Indulgence for Divine Mercy Sunday In order to ensure that the faithful would observe this day, Divine Mercy Sunday with intense devotion, the Holy Father desires all the faithful to be enriched by a plenary indulgence so that they might receive in great abundance the gift of the consolation of the Holy Spirit. In this way, they can foster a growing love for God and for their neighbor, and after they have obtained God s pardon, they in turn might be persuaded to show a prompt pardon to their brothers and sisters. The plenary indulgence is granted under the usual conditions: 1. Sacramental confession 2. Eucharistic Communion 3. A Prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father 4. Recite the Our Father and the Creed, and also adding a devout prayer, for example: Jesus, I trust in you! The Church also encourages all the faithful to practice acts of mercy whenever possible. For those who are unable to join us for the celebration in Westphalia, the plenary indulgence can be obtained if the faithful complete the same requirements at home (are in a state of grace recite the act of contrition if confession is not possible, receive Holy Communion, etc.) Jesus I trust in You! Sign-up information is available on the parish website under youth ministry page. Forms for Steubenville need to be filled out online, printed, and then turned in with $100 deposit. Forms and deposit can be turned into the parish office, Sunday and Wednesday night youth group, or at Monday night Religious Education classes. The Rosary is prayed before the 8:15 a.m. weekday Mass.
