Friday, June 3rd, 2016 The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus & First Friday Adoration We will have the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament starting right after 8:00 am Mass until 7:00 pm. From 7:00 to 8:00 we will have the Holy Hour. There will be a sign-up sheet at the back of Church. Please try to find time to come and spend a few minutes with Our Lord on this very special day! Altar Server Sign-Up I would like to ask the parents of the Altar servers, to sign up for the weekend Masses for these coming three months, so that we will have someone to serve at the Altar for all three Masses! 3 In Memory Of... Wayne Osborn, age 73, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, former Chief of Administrative Services for Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, owner and operator of The Children's Closet since 1981, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7:00PM. Funeral mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg at 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 28, 2016, with Father Joseph Mundakal officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School of Lawrenceburg. 2nd Collections coming up in June: June 5th Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa June 26th Peter s Pence Solidarity Fund for Africa 2nd Collection: June 4th & 5th This coming week, our parish will take up a collection for the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa. While the Church in Africa is growing, many still lack access to basic resources and pastoral care. Many suffer due to high rates of poverty and unemployment, illiteracy, and poor education. The Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa supports pas- Totus Tuus 2016 Our parish will be hosting the Totus Tuus program again this summer!!! The program is for upcoming 1 st grade High School students. It will be held the week of July 23 rd -29 th. We will have registration available closer to date. We are currently organizing the stay for the 4 missionaries who will be visiting our parish during the week and teaching the program. We are in need of the following: A host family for 2 female missionaries for the week. We are grateful to already have a host family volunteer for the other two! The missionaries will need a vehicle for the week. They will use this to travel to and from their host family, church, and dinner with parish families. We are also in need of Families to volunteer to provide dinner for the missionaries. This can be inviting them to your home/dining out. We will need volunteers beginning Saturday the 23 rd for the entire week. If you are able to help in anyway please let us know!!
