4 Gaurav Malik Ph.D in Yoga (Pranayama) Masters in Human Consciousness and a Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Teaching,10 years of university study and as many years teaching. Gaurav guides students through their Yoga journey encouraging self-love and awareness. Main interests: Giving love & guidance, treating each other and ourselves better and beginner students. 5 Kate Malik 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher. Psychology student. Australian/ English teacher living in India for the past 5 years. Kate is passionate about introducing people to the amazing lifestyle of Yoga and helping bridge the gap between Eastern & Western practice. Main interests: Newbies, philosophy of Yoga, self-love, feminine energies and Kundalini meditation. Loves pizza & dancing.

6 Yoga Style Gaurav has been trained for 10 years at the worlds oldest ashram style university of yoga. He brings to the 200 hour yoga teacher training program the ancient understandings and traditional wisdom and techniques of Yoga. Yoga is a Sanskrit word which means union, it is a complete path to enlightenment. Yoga practice includes things such as meditation, breath and lifestyle, along with the Yoga postures. We follow Patanjali s 8 limbs of Yoga. Hatha Yoga is the root of all modern yoga. We provide a strong foundation in traditional practice and understanding. Students are trained to teach yoga in the West.

7 Graduates of this program can teach hatha, hatha flow, vinyasa flow and a power yoga style classes when you return home. 72 yoga asana postures are covered in detail during the course including posture adjustment and alignment, theory, and practice as well as meditation techniques you can bring into your classes and your life. 13 How much would this cost? 1650USD (inc 18% GST) 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course Fee Course fees include: course material including full text book, 200 hours of yoga and theory classes, Patajali Yoga Sutras book, on-going teacher support, one-on-one 40 minute consultation with Gaurav Malik or Kate Malik, breakfast Monday to Friday, coconut morning break, one group arrival dinner, one dolphin boat trip, one massage, one locally sourced gift bag including notebook, neti pot and mala beads from Rishikesh, incense etc, one signed certificate accredited by the Yoga Alliance (USA) upon completion of the course. Course fees do not include: flights, accommodation or lunch/dinner, various restaurants available serving Indian and Western food. A typical meals costs $3/6USD. *no surprise costs, we will take care of your needs. A 500USD deposit is required to reserve your place. Remaining course fee due two weeks prior to course commencement.

15 Visa for India Make sure you give yourself at least a few weeks to organise your tourist visa. Online Visa - 60 Days. Our course is 26 days allowing you to use this service and still have time to travel :) visa/tvoa.html 3 or 6 Month Tourist Visas Can apply via your local Indian Embassy, consulate or agency. 17 Location We are located on the beautiful and peaceful Mandrem Beach, Goa. Walking distance to Arambol drum circle. 1.5 hours airport transfer from Goa International Airport. If you send us your flight arrival details we will send a driver will pick you up 1500 Indian rupees (approx 23USD).

21 Feel free to bring your own mat. However we have lots of equipment in the studio for you to use.

22 Yoga Clothing During the course, lose cotton clothing is best. Tight active wear or thick yoga pants can make you very hot because Goa can get extremely humid. Tight clothing also restricts energy/prana flow! Bring some lose cotton trousers, thin yoga pants and/or shorts.

23 Breakfast Fruit or porridge with optional plain yogurt, muesli, honey, cinnamon with a fresh juice and ginger tea provided on class days. Lunch and dinner you are free to try the different restaurants in the area. There is also an Indian and Western restaurant at our accommodation and school location. Student feedback is that they love the freedom to eat where they wanted, it was social and very cheap!

Kate knew i was apprehensive before I came and the support that was always on offer was amazing and much needed. 30 Lizza, Full-time mother of 4, United States To say that training with Ashtak yoga was a life changing experience sounds trite & cliched but I know of no other words to use. I am not the same person I was before I took this course. It was a big decision to head to India for a month. I am mothering four young children & leaving them for several weeks took a lot of delicate planning & heaps of trust that what I would gain would be worth it. It was more than worth it. Gaurav is a dedicated teacher, his knowledge vast and practical application intuitive & complete. I took this course to increase my understanding of yoga but was apprehensive about teaching because I can t do 5 minute handstands on a tropical beach. Now I feel more than prepared to use my natural gifts & personality to teach whole yoga, all the limbs. I love asana & love watching dedicated practitioners master olympic grade feats of balance and strength. But I am just as amazed at being a part of a community that enters the internal world of the heart & does the messy, scary, beautiful work of becoming a person who is truly unified with themselves, body & soul. I still have not taken any of my prescribed medication. You guys gave me so much, but you took a lot of things from me too you took my self-doubt and lack of confidence, you took my negative thoughts, my fear, & the mass of anxiety that had been living inside me for years. You gave me a space to be myself, a space to release the things that no longer served me.
