4 WHAT IS THIS RETREAT IS ABOUT If life feels like its sped up but you re in slow motion, that is a good indicator that you need to take a time out to align what your life feels like with what it looks like. The fastest way to rest is to Surrender. Surrender to what? To Love. The question is, are you ready to let go to Let Love Lead? Letting go is a daily practice. Try it for a week with our support. In Bali we empty out the residue that clog up the arteries of our hearts so we can live from love. We will lose our addictions, especially to worry. We will let go of the addiction to ANYthing that makes us numb (too much TV, internet, lack of sleep, low vibe food, and more.) We will allow ourselves time to surrender to what we really feel instead of numbing it out or running away from it. In other words, we will Let Love Lead. During our 8-days dedicated to the Alchemy of Love we will explore the transformative power of lovingkindness and feel how the rich, Balinese culture integrates this into all aspects of life. Here you will find flowers and smiles for miles and miles, a Namaste throughout the day. The wafting of sweet incense following your every movement. And our Chief Love Alchemists Silvia Mordini and Haji Basim will hold space for your personal evolution, healing and joy. Our home for the week is a luxury, Villa Shanti set amongst rice fields on the outskirts of Ubud the cultural and arts epicenter of the island. With spacious, elegant individual bedrooms, a private spa, and rice field paths to trek, this will serve as the perfect place to be as close to the action as you like, but still remain in the tranquility of nature. You will have ample time to do as much or as little as you desire. Together we will enjoy traditional Balinese dance performances, temple visits, hikes through the countryside, sing medicine songs, meditate with the sunrise and practice heart opening yoga including vinyasa, restorative and workshop style classes. 11 ABOUT HAJI BASIM Haji Basim is an award winning and charismatic artist, multiinstrumentalist, yoga expert and the urban folk crooner. His brand of music is unique and entirely exceptional, with uplifting melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. Haji Basim has performed in famous musical festivals around the world, including Bali spirit festival; Adelaide Fringe Festival, Australia; New Earth Festival, Bali; Northwest folk Fest festival, Seattle; WOMAD, Melbourne; Raj Rhythm arts and Joy, Los Angeles; Atlanta Blues Festival, and South by Southwest music festival, Austin. Haji Basim also doubles as a sacred sound artist. With his array of sacred mantras and instruments from around the world such as the Sitar and Bansuri flute from India and the rhythmic Arabic tambourine known as the Riq. Basim creates a tapestry of healing and introspective music that captivate his audiences. As a meditation and yoga instructor, Haji Basim has facilitated tranquil sound healing concert all across the world. 13 ABOUT SILVIA MORDINI With contagious enthusiasm Silvia encourages everyone she meets to love their life. Her expert passion connects people to their own joyful potential. Silvia lives her happiness in such a big way that you can t help but leave her classes, workshops, trainings and retreats spiritually uplifted! Born in Ecuador, raised traveling around the globe she is an adventure junkie, writer & happiness coach. After being run over by a car & using yoga to recover physically & emotionally, she owned a Chicagoland yoga studio for 9 years, has taught for over 15 yrs with over 12,000 hours of experience. Silvia is currently writing a book about Prescriptions for Happiness and has a popular blog called Loving Your Life, along with producing her Loving Your Day videos and podcast. Thru Alchemy Tours, she leads retreats worldwide. She also founded Alchemy of Yoga, a nationally recognized RYT200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training (Self-Study) Program in its 13th year with over 25 graduating classes worldwide. Her articles appear regularly in MindBodyGreen as a Wellness Expert, Do You Yoga, Yogi Times, The Cultureist, Gaia, and Daily Cup of Yoga amongst others. Silvia lives in Santa Cruz, California near the water and the mountains. She loves making Aperol Spritz while entertaining friends at home, writing poetry and often helps others redecorate their homes.
