2 FROM THE OFFICE For more information please visit our website Our Journey Together Capital Campaign Reaches Goal! As you know, through the Our Journey Together capital campaign, All Saints needed to raise at least $1,200,000 in order to service its building indebtedness through To reach this goal, sacrificial giving from many was required. The Capital Campaign Committee and Vestry are pleased to announce that 100 individuals and families have committed to pay, or have already paid, a total of $1,200,000 toward the capital campaign. This sum, coupled with commitments still to be paid on the Hope campaign, will fund payments of our building indebtedness through While our analysis is not yet complete, we hope that additional payments of principal may also be possible. Thank you very much for your sacrificial gifts to Our Journey Together campaign. Fr. Paul will be away June 2-7, at Kanuga Camp & Conference Center attending the Province IV Synod. He will return on June 7. He will be on vacation, June and will return for services on June 29. AVERAGE SUNDAY May 149 May YTD 179 April YTD 186 March YTD 173 Dear All Saints' family, This summer, I'll be away for two weeks for continuing education and I wanted to let you know what I'll be doing. The week of June 15, I'll travel to Washington, D.C. for the annual conference of the Association of Anglican Musicians. AAM is an organization with rigorous membership standards that "takes as its purpose the elevation, stimulation, and support of music and the allied arts in all their aspects in the Anglican church, and especially in their relationship to liturgy." The week of July 20, I'll be at Gray Center, helping to lead the Mississippi Conference on Church Music and Liturgy. The Mississippi Conference, along with the AAM Conference, is recognized as one of the premier events in the country for church musicians and clergy, and I am deeply invested in its continued success. I am grateful for All Saints' funding and support of my continuing education, and I am excited to share what I learn this summer with all of you, and am also very excited about spending time with colleagues from all over the country. I ask for your continued support and prayers as I travel and study this summer! Peace, Jessica WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall $10 per person All men of the church are invited to come and bring a friend! Call the office at to RSVP

4 PARISH MINISTRIES WEDNESDAY SERVICE SCHEDULE Holy Eucharist with Anointing for Healing June 4, 11, 18 & 25 12:05 p.m. in the Chapel I would like to invite you to consider becoming part of the Altar Guild at All Saints'. We have 5 Altar Guild teams which rotate weekly. Each team serves for one week, every five weeks. It's not as much of a time commitment as you might have imagined, right? Because there are several people on each team, no one person is responsible for getting everything accomplished during the assigned week. If you're out of town or sick, the other team members carry the load. That's how teams work. The training is as extensive as you need or want. I will work with you individually until you master the basics, then you will be assigned to a team to get further experience. You will never be expected to do anything by yourself until you feel confident in doing so. I absolutely treasure my Altar Guild time. It's a time/way to meditate/pray and to contribute to the worship experience of All Saints' parishioners and guests. Please consider serving in this capacity. We can certainly use your help! Mary Lou Parks, Altar Guild Chairperson THE JEANNES Here are the highly anticipated results of the first annual Jeanne Lagrone Children's Choir Awards: Ellabess Paladino: most hilarious chorister Ellen Adams: outstanding newcomer Kendal Pugh: best storyteller Sam Alton Westmoreland: most promising Children's Choir alumni Mary Wilemon Westmoreland: most spirited chorister Maggie Grace Bullock: most respectful rehearsal behavior Leigh Michael Cannon: most promising Children's Choir alumni Lilly Riddle: outstanding musical leadership NEIGHBORHOOD LIFE COMMITTEE TUESDAY, June 3 5:45 p.m. Sr. High Sunday School room Mission Statement: To do God s work in our neighborhood through service, fellowship and worship. The Neighborhood Life committee is busy making plans for the remainder of 2014! This energetic team would love for you to join them at their next meeting! WEDNESDAY JUNE 25 5:45 p.m. in the Parish Hall Please bring a dish to share! Be at peace with your own soul, then heaven and earth will be at peace with you. St. Jerome
5 PARISH MINISTRIES Saints' Brew continues to feed those in need of a hot breakfast each week day morning. In April, we served 1,848 meals. We are always in need of coffee, creamer, cereal, and sugar. Also, if anyone heads out to Lowe's please consider picking up some large bottles of 409. Please think about volunteering some time during the month. We are very flexible and are always in need of substitutes. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed food items and financial support. Also thanks to a great crew that works tirelessly each day to cook and serve the meals along with getting the necessary groceries to prepare the food. Without them Saints' Brew would not exist. Any monetary contribution is also very much needed. Our financial situation is always a concern but your continual support is very much appreciated. We do have some great news along those lines. I recently submitted a grant proposal for assistance from the Lee County Emergency Food and Shelter Program. We were given a grant which will assist in reversing our deficit from the past few months and help in the coming next couple of months. However, this program will not be a long term source of funding. Volunteers and substitutes are always needed (for more information visit -Mona Warlick & Beth Harris 11% of people are left handed. The average person falls asleep in 7 minutes. A bear has 42 teeth. Lemons contain more sugar than strawberries. WELCOME ABOARD At their May meeting, the Vestry unanimously approved Mark and Dana Maharrey as the new co-chairs of the Hospitality Committee with Lawrence and Sandra Perkins assisting. Please join us in welcoming them to their new role at All Saints. This committee is responsible for coordinating food and hospitality for events such as our annual shrimp boil coming up in June, the annual Parish Picnic, the Annual Meeting lunch, just to name a few. This is a fun way to participate in the life of All Saints, and many hands make the work much easier! If you are interested in joining the Hospitality team, please call the Maharreys, the Perkins or the office at If you would like to give the flowers on a particular Sunday, we have open dates in June through November. Flowers may be given in memory or honor of someone or in thanksgiving for a special occasion. The Flower Guild works very diligently and frugally to provide beautiful altar arrangements each Sunday at the lowest possible cost to the donor ($75 for 2 vases). Small arrangements are also provided for the Chapel for the Wednesday service. You may sign up on the flower chart located at the entrance to the church or call the office at Thank you for your donations and allowing us to serve you! - Co-chairs, Deanna Alford and Tom Evans ECW Sunday, June 22 3:30 p.m. At the home of Joan Ball (call the office for directions) Hors d oeuvres provided ~ Please bring a bottle of wine.
