2 From The East: From The East: Greetings my Brothers!!! Let me begin my thanking everyone that came out for Worshipful Brother Bumbasi s Hiram Award Ceremony. What a turn-out. Our Secretary, Worshipful Mario recorded 184 in the lodge, consisting of Master Masons, Fellow-crafts, Entered Apprentices, family, friends and guests. Lets give a shout out to Worshipful Joe Dano, Brother Rey Cruz and Sister Norma for the great dinner and refreshments. Also, to Brother Ebreo for the beautifully decorated and delicious cake. November is here and the hour will soon be upon us for the Annual Election of Officers for the incoming Masonic year. I encourage each of the members to try and attend the lodge for this important evening and to participate in one of the most important duties as a lodge member and as a Master Mason. Our Junior Warden, Brother Ancheta is planning a succulent Thanksgiving Dinner menu for the evening with all the trimming. Additionally, Worshipful Brother Mario, has began the mailing of dues notices for CY2011- there is still time to consider and participate in the Life Membership Program. For more details regarding Life Membership, contact the Secretary or the Assistant Secretary. Finally, on behalf of Rachele and I, we would to extend a safe, warm and Happy Thanksgiving to each of you and your families. May the Divine Providence look upon you with favor and happiness during this festive time of year. 3 From the West: From the West: Worshipful Sirs and Brothers Let us join hands in welcoming and congratulating Brothers Querino Munar and Willie Gregorio who were passed the second degree last October 15, Likewise, a well deserved congratulation also goes to Brothers Randy Rojas and Patrick Carreon who were entered last October 22, A warm welcome and a bountiful congratulations to Brother Francisco Torres who was also passed to the 2nd degree last October 29, 2010, after having been absent from the Lodge for about four (4) years due to his callings. Let me take this opportunity to extend a well deserve congratulation to Brothers Jerry Fabula and Fred Marty for their excellent delivery of their work in the middle chamber during these degrees. My brothers, your hard work invoke dedication and hopefully motivate others to follow suit. The November 5, 2010 Stated Meeting will be a coming home for many of our brothers who were, by virtue of their profession and vocation were in the meantime away from the Lodge, will be coming back and participate in our annual election of officers for the coming Masonic Year I therefore, encourage every Brother to seek out all of those Brothers who are coming home so they will know that they were missed and needed. Lastly, a simple reminder to everyone that November is also the time of the year when the Tiler of the Lodge will ensure that each and every Brother are in good standing. 4 From the South: Brethren, we have a number of event coming up that are affecting that all important Masonic duty. EATING! By this time Hiram Award ceremony should be done and over with. I hope all the Brethren, Sister and Guest had a wonderful evening that night. Before I go any further. I would like to inform everyone that we discover another talented brother in term of kitchen duties. None other than Brother Ernie Bautista who prepared our October Stated Meeting Dinner with the assistance of Brother Ray Cruz. What a great team. I m confident I guess, And I should be For I ve spoken many months in a mumble; I know that the brethren, will all be impressed When you re good, it s hard to be humble So it s out to the car, and away I go Then fear strikes me, clear to the bone; I d better go through this, just one more time, It s my last chance, while I m still alone. I ve hardly noticed this trip at all Now suddenly, I m parking the car\; My hearth beating wildly, as I climb the stairs I hear voices, not near but far. Their lips are moving, but I don t hear a word I have to concentrate on my first line, Sure it ll be easier the next time around But the trick is to do the first time. The lodge is now open, and the work has begun The first section s about to come to a close; Gee, I should have gone the men s room I feel faint, and I can t breathe through my nose. They re just called my name, and I ve taken my place Boy! They don t give in a feller much time; And I ve lost my book in a shirt with one pocket And I can t remember my First line. I ve learned a good lesson. It is I who s impressed And I shall never forget this first line; After all of the prompting, I now am convinced.
