1 March 2018 Greetings from Our Pastor Psalm 62, verses 1&2 tell us For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall never be shaken. Is it possible for us to get ahead of God in our life and in the work we do? Andrew Murray said in his book The Believer s Secret of Waiting on God : The great lack of our Christianity today is we do not know God. The answer to every complaint of weakness or failure, the message to every congregation seeking instruction on holiness, should be, What is the matter? Where is your God? He will put it all right..stop expecting the solution from yourself, or the answer from anything that is in man and simply yield yourself completely to God to work in you. As we seek more of God in our lives and our work during this season of Lent, I pray that we will wait for Him to reveal Himself, His Word, His truth and His will to us. We cannot even begin to know the mind of God, but as we unselfishly seek Him each day, He reveals more and more of His truth to us. I have begun to realize in recent years that I am only beginning to see the deep truth concerning God and our relationship to Him. I am convinced that waiting on God is the one great remedy for all our needs as Andrew Murray puts it. Are we sensitive to this daily need in our life and our work? If so, let s seek Him every day with all our hearts as we wait on Him to lead us. He will! In Christ, Pastor Lee Millen United Methodist Church Pastor: Rev. Lee Pettis P.O.
