The offering ensures that 100 percent of every designated gift to UMCOR for disaster response and other critical needs goes directly to address those needs. Offering envelopes will be available in your Sunday bulletin or you may drop off your mail your gift to Laurens United Methodist Church at 201 W. Main St., Laurens, Iowa Please make sure to mark your check UMCOR Sunday in the memo. 3 You are cordially invited to a Come and Go Bridal Shower for Paige Potter, Bride-to-Be of Nick Brincks. Shower to be held on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Fellowship Hall of the Laurens United Methodist Church. There will be a short program at 10:30 a.m. Please bring your favorite recipe for Paige on a 4 X 6 recipe card. They are registered at Lizziedoodle Gifts & Home Décor and Heart N Home in Laurens, Target and Menards. Laurens Area Community Youth Group will meet at the Laurens United Methodist Church for the month of April. Jr. & Sr. High together each Sunday. Practice for Easter Sunrise Service. There will be NO meeting on Easter Sunday, April 21st.

4 Laurens United Methodist Church Sunday, April 7, 2019 during the Sunday School 9:10 A.M. Children, youth & parents are invited to attend Camp Sunday on April 7. A staff member from Lake Okoboji Camp & Retreat will be here to discuss camp, show a video & answer any questions you may have about church camp. We will enjoy treats in Fellowship Hall following the presentation. The staff member will also be giving the message on this particular Sunday as well. Please join us!

5 We want to thank all who called, sent cards, and offered to take Denny to his treatments over the last few weeks including all of your sympathies for the loss of my dear sister. We are so blessed to have such a caring church family. 7 Good Friday Ecumenical Service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church April 19, 7:00 p.m. Easter Sunrise Service will be held here at Laurens United Methodist Church Sunday, April 21, 7:00 a.m. The service will be led by the Laurens Area Community Youth Group Breakfast to follow service. Serving Biscuits & Gravy, Fruit Cup, Orange Juice & Coffee Please join us for worship Easter Sunday, April 21, 10:30 a.m. Choir will perform

8 The LAST day of Sunday School for the year will be May 5, Teacher Appreciation and Sunday School Attendance Awards Presentation will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 during the worship hour. All Sunday School teachers and Christian Education Committee members are requested to be present for the worship service at 10:30 a.m. Parents will be notified by mail if their child(ren) earned an attendance award. Thank you to all who attended, donated, and helped at the Beef Burger lunch and Pampered Chef Fundraiser. We made approximately $1,500 at this event. We sincerely appreciate your support. The Pampered Chef party will stay open until April 7th so if you would like to order you still have time. You may order online, or by sending directly to Becky Johnson (consultant) or giving the order to Angela Christenson. The youth are getting very excited for the trip to Haiti and we could not have come this far without your support. We are currently $2,000 short of our goal. ~ Thank you, Angela Christenson
