5 I Don t Like Being Around People The Psalms, especially 53, 84, 122 and 133 I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of the Lord! (Psalm 122:1) But what if we aren t glad? This is the premise for our next series of messages concerning the reasons why people don t go to church, or even want to be associated with church. BACKGROUND OF OUR SCRIPTURES: The Psalms are Israel s Hymnbook Psalm 84: a song for those who wanted to go to worship God at the temple in Jerusalem. Psalms : songs to be sung while traveling to Jerusalem for sacrifice and worship. WHAT WE LEARN: People are problems (Psalm 53:2-3; 120:6) But it s not about people; it s about God and Jesus (Psalm 84) And the only hope for people is with God and Jesus (Psalm 133) THEREFORE: Church is worth the risk! 2016 Answering the Call

This novel is a true story of two affluent British sisters who, in WWII, rescued dozens of Jews from persecution and death. The book is a moving testimony to all that can be achieved when conscience and compassion are applied to a collapsing world. Inter-generational Sunday School class Erica, and some helpers, will be leading a Sunday school class meant for Jr High, High School and all the way up through adults of all ages. Let s all learn from each other! The study is God of Justice and will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the youth room June 5 th thru Aug. 21 st.
