All children ages 3-6 are welcome to come down during the service today. After the service, please pick your child up in classroom #1. There will be no Sunday School for all Ages TODAY and Next Sunday, April 10 th, for Spring Break. We will resume the following Sunday, April 17 th. April Lucas Links are available TODAY. 4 From the Kuperus Family: We have been overwhelmed with the amazing show of love, support, encouragement and prayers that we have received from you, our church family, during our time of grieving the death of two of our loved ones. Thank you for the cards, notes, flowers, visits, and most importantly for the prayers that you offered for us and especially for my mom. Many of you have expressed the desire to send her a card or note. If you want to do that, here is her address: Nyla Kuperus, 5926 Glenbrook SE, Kentwood, MI, Check out our new bulletin for tweens! Tween Texts is a helpful way for our youth to be connected with the worship service and the sermon. Young people and children of any age can take one and use it during the service. Put your name on it and hand it in to the Council box. Rewards will be given for faithfully completing them. And don t forget to write any questions about the sermon or service on the back they will all be answered! We will return the Tween Texts to you so that you can keep them as your own sermon notes. Needed for the Ladies Tea, Several food-grade Silver Teapots, let Jennifer Van Houten or Michele Kuperus know if you have any and wouldn t mind loaning them to us for this exciting event. Thanks! From the Deacons: The deacons would like to thank you for your faithful giving during the first quarter of We would like to remind you that only gifts given in a green envelope (or other envelope with your family number on it for second collections) are recorded for end of year receipt purposes. Please continue using the green envelopes so that we may have correct records at year end. Cadet Pinewood Derby: Due to the limited size of our cadet group this year, we would like to try something different. We would like to invite all past cadets who still have their cars (or anyone else who may have a pinewood derby car) to join us on Wednesday, April 20, for an 'Open Division' Race. Please ask one of the cadet counselors for additional information. Ladies Tea, Please R.S.V.P. by signing-up in the Fellowship Hall at the designated Special Table manned by Ladies Tea Committee members TODAY, to Sign-Up to attend the event, to donate specific food items, and for the men of Lucas to Sign-Up to serve that day. Safe Church News: There will be a Safe Church Training for all of those who help out with activities involving children at Lucas CRC, on these dates (April 12, 13, 14, 18, & 19) at 6:30 pm; in the Sanctuary to briefly go over the new Safe Church Policy approved by Council in January of this year. Please check your mailboxes to see which date applies to you and for more info. If you would like to view the policy beforehand, either via or a printed copy just ask. Any questions, talk to Jennifer Van Houten. Thanks! Thanks again to the Sewing Sisters for getting another 90 pillowcase dresses finished to send to the DR with the NMCS high school students. Also thank you for the donations of supplies and pillowcases. There will be a Sewing Sisters Collection Box in the Fellowship hall for your donations of pillowcases and sewing supplies. As you spring clean and/or go to garage sales, please keep an eye out for the following: pillowcases, cotton fabric, thread, 3/4" non-roll elastic, iron and ironing board, and other sewing supplies. The Booster Club is serving food for the NMC 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, April 16 th. We have posted Sign-Up sheets on the table in the fellowship hall for anyone who would like to donate baked goods, food or other supplies needed for this event. There is also a Sign-Up sheet for anyone who would be willing to help serve through-out the day. Thank you so much in advance for all of your support! Any questions??? The cost is $9.50 (Box Ticket) and $6.50 (Lawn Ticket) per person. Benefits include: Early admittance into stadium, Watch Visitors and Loons batting practice, Exclusive Stadium Tour, Prize Giveaways, Fireworks, and Tons of Activities for Children during the Ball-Game, etc.!
