Please contact Donna Byker if you want to get the right jacket Staircase Youth Services: Oceana County has an ongoing need of host homes for youth age who are not living with a parent or legal guardian. There is a shortage of homes for both short and long term situations. All youth and host homes are screened, and host homes are paid a stipend to offset the cost of housing, feeding, and transporting the youth. There is currently a critical need for a home for a 17 year old girl (she also has a kitten). WORSHIP NOTES Welcome to all who are worshiping with us today! As we gather together in response to our Lord's call to worship, may we hear His word with gladness, respond with hearts of love and gratitude, and go forth from this place with renewed commitment to serve Him every day. Please join us for coffee and cookies following our service. A nursery for infants and toddlers is available in the basement. We also have a quiet viewing room in the Upper Room, access in the narthex, for those who need to leave the sanctuary but would like to view the worship service. The ALS System is available for those with hearing impairments. Growing in relationship with God leads us to grow in relationship with each other. If our mission in life flows out of our relationship with God the first place it will flow is to our Christian friends and community. TODAY God's word reveals God's desire for church fellowship: growing with each other in Christ. TODAY in worship we will be casting lots for 2 elders and 2 deacons to fill the positions left by elders Dave Zoller and Scott Meyers, and deacons Tom TenBrink and Bob Bush. We pause to thank God for these able and willing servants. Please continually keep the church council in prayer as we prepare to begin a new year. Prayer Concerns Dan and Sandy Whitaker request prayers for their granddaughter Carlie and her parents. They are seeking God's guidance as they move forward in finding a resolution. We are currently running about $16,000 behind on our budget for the year. This is normal for us as we are in this position at this time every year. The Thanksgiving and Christmas offerings usually make up the difference. The giving this year has been very good, thank you all for that! Please consider the budget as part of your yearend giving. Thanks! REMINDER!! We are joining with area churches in providing Christmas Ham Dinners for people in our community. New Era CRC has pledged to donate 375 boxes of stuffing! Please bring your boxes of stuffing to church by Sunday, Dec. 2.
