Mission: Glorifying God through serving His persecuted church, as we seek to fulfill the words of Hebrews 13:3. "Remember the prisoners as if chained with them those who are mistreated since you yourselves are in the body also." Purposes: To encourage and empower Christians to fulfill the Great Commission. To give relief to families of Christian martyrs. To undertake projects of encouragement, helping persecuted Christians rebuild their lives and witness. To equip persecuted Christians to love and lead their enemies (persecutors) to Christ. To promote the fellowship of all Christian believers. To infuse, distribute, and exhibit to the Canadian church constituency, the faith and testimony of those Christians in the world who are persecuted for Christ. To give voice to those Christians whose cries of pain and proclamation of praise go unheard. 4 FAMILY CIRCLE: Congratulations to the Foster Family as they are celebrating the wedding of Mike and Kelsey later today. May the Lord bless Mike and Kelsey as they begin their married life together. Continue to pray for all our seniors, those who suffer illnesses, and those who are lonely or shut-in. May they feel God s presence in their lives and may He bring healing. BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS: Congratulations to Don Crowe, Chloe MacKenzie, Rita Ripley, Danielle Kraayenbrink, and Alie Kraayenbrink who will be celebrating their birthdays in the next two weeks. May God bless your celebrations. HYMN-SING: Join us for a Hymn-Sing at the Wallaceburg Retirement Residence on Tuesday, August 14 at 1:30 pm. All are welcome. EVENING SERVICE: Our regular Evening Services are cancelled in July and August. Regular Evening Services will begin again on September 9, SUMMER READING: This year we have the opportunity to read Honest Evangelism by Rico Tice. You can pick up a copy outside the offices. Most of us find evangelism hard, but there is no greater joy than seeing people come to Christ Jesus. This realistic and humorous book by Rico Tice will help prepare and encourage you to be honest and bold in your evangelism, presenting the gospel fully and properly, even when it's tough. To cover the cost of the book, you can choose to leave 5 dollars in the office but it isn't necessary. PROFESSION OF FAITH CLASSES: Profession of Faith Classes will be starting in September. Anyone interested in taking this class both young and old please speak to Pastor Josh. This class is open to all and does not have to lead to making Profession of Faith. If interested or have any questions please contact Pastor Josh. SUMMER EVENING SERVICE: Our next Special Summer Evening Service will be on Sunday, August 12 at 5 PM at the home of Mitchell and Jocelyn Kraayenbrink (168 Bruinsma Ave W Burg). Stay for a BBQ after the service. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please bring a salad or dessert to share. Don t forget your lawn chair. All are welcome!!! CELEBRATION OF BAPTISM: Coming up on Sunday, August 19 we have the privilege to celebrate with Ryan and Kirstie Feddes as they present Ryker Peter George Feddes for the sacrament of Baptism. 5 WAMBO INTERDENOMINATIONAL CHURCH SERVICE: The Annual Interdenominational Wambo Service is coming up next Sunday, August 12th at 10 am at the James St. Municipal Parking Lot. The speaker this year is Melinda Estabrooks. Melinda has worked the past 20 years in broadcast, motivational speaking, and advocacy. She is currently the Host & Executive Producer of the Nationally broadcast television show, See Hear Love, aired on Yes TV. She is also the Host of her radio & podcast show, Your Story With Melinda. She has a wonderful story of God s grace and love to share. There will be a BBQ after the service sponsored by our M.P. Bev Shipley. Our morning service on August 12th will be cancelled so we can all attend this Special Service. The Wallaceburg Christian School is hosting our Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 29 at the Country View Golf Course near Chatham. Shot gun start is at 1 pm. Cost is $85 which includes 18 holes of golf, golf carts, and a smorgasbord dinner, with door prizes and awards. Non golfers can also come to the dinner at 6 pm for $30. Please contact the school at or admin@wallaceburgchristianschool.com to register. It promises to be a wonderful day with a great meal, as we celebrate and support Christian education in Wallaceburg. REWIRE DESIRE: NeighbourLink is partnering with Evangel Community Church and a new local Christian ministry called Rewire Desire to address the problem of internet pornography. They will be hosting a two-part presentation with an August 22 showing of the Under 18 video, a documentary designed to help parents and others become familiar with the internet porn industry and how to deal with it if children, spouses, friends, etc. become involved with on line porn. Part two will take place a week later (August 29) with a presentation and Q & A session with Derek and Andrea Shepherd of Rewire Desire. All are welcome August 22 and 29 at Evangel Community Church at 7 pm. Admission is free. DUTCH HYMN SING: Coming again... for the 14th year!... Dutch Hymn Sing at Westmount Christian Reformed Church, 405 Drury Lane, Strathroy Ontario on August 29th at 1:30 p.m. We will be singing "Through the Life of Jesus and From Advent to Ascension" plus your favourites!
