1 ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS NECS Annual Society Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 19, at 8:00 p.m. Agenda items will include approving the 18/19 budget and electing two new board members. Nominees are Brian Balon, Curt Lohman, Curtis Burr and Carol Giberson. Grow your three or four-year-old in faith, academics and personal maturity at New Era Christian School. NECS has openings in their three and four-year-old preschool classes for the school year. If you would like more information about our programs or would like to schedule a tour, please contact Debbie Braak, Preschool Director/Teacher at dbraak@newerachristian.org or you can call New Era Christian Reformed Church "Growing in Relationship with God, with Each Other, and with our Community" Volunteers In Service Benevolence Training: It is Biblical to take care of the physical needs of people around us. In responding to needs, do we take the opportunity to share the gospel? Do we view people as problems to solve or opportunities from God to love and embrace? Duke Gray, VIS trainer, will facilitate a three week training on how to love, serve and embrace people around us for the sake of growing the kingdom. As we gather together in response to our Lord's call to worship, may we hear His word with gladness, respond with hearts of love and gratitude, and go forth from this place with renewed commitment to serve Him every day. Please join us for coffee and cookies following our service. A nursery for infants and toddlers is available in the basement. We also have a quiet viewing room in the Upper Room, access in the narthex, for those who need to leave the sanctuary but would like to view the worship service. The ALS System is available for those with hearing impairments. Today we celebrate the Lord's Supper together. God's word tells us of God's grace. We come with guilt and shame like the woman caught in adultery. Jesus' words, "neither do I condemn you." give us reason to celebrate, to live, to celebrate life in Christ. Let's live as those who have something to celebrate! If you are truly sorry for your sins, sincerely believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, earnestly desire to lead a Godly life, and are a participating (professing) member in a Christian Church you are invited to join us at the Lord's Table. Prayer Concerns Chris Martin was not able to have the transplant surgery last Sunday. Continue to pray for patience for Chris and Colby and that a kidney becomes available soon. Proverbs 14:29 ANNOUNCEMENTS Thank you to everyone for their prayers, cards and expressions of sympathy in the passing of our mother and grandmother. We are thankful to have such a caring church community. Dan and Mary Freye and family. We express our sympathy to Ted and Adelle VanderVelde and their family. Ted's brother Dan was killed in a car accident on Wednesday evening. As you may have noticed in the calendar we have had a change of plans for Manna Monday. We will be serving Hot Dogs, Chips, and Beans tomorrow night, and the pot luck has been moved to Monday, April 23. Following the pot luck dinner on April 23 Pastor Greg will be showing some pictures and sharing about his trip to Israel. Pastor Greg will be offering membership classes.
