7 The Gospels record the model prayer that Jesus taught his followers in two different contexts: Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:1-4. This prayer can become so familiar to us that we may become blind to its meaning. We will look at the phrases in the first half of the "prayer of prayers and seek their deeper meaning. We also welcome new members to our community and celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper. NEXT WEEK AT ELMHURST CRC The Lord's Prayer is God's way of teaching us how to build a relationship and communicate with him. We'll consider the second half of this "prayer of prayers" in depth. We will also celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism. OUR CHURCH FAMILY Today at the 8:55 service we welcome into membership Whitney Harris Ribbens, joining husband, Ben Ribbens.
