10 Worried? Grieving? Feeling challenged beyond what you can bear? Lay your concerns at Jesus' feet. This year during Lent, we are adding our prayer requests to the Cross. It will be standing in Cloister Hall with pen and paper ready to receive your concerns. Tuck your requests in the wire, giving your concerns to God. As you do this, think of the stark ugliness of the rusted wire that reflects our inner pain. Then on Easter morning, we will see the Cross explode with the color and beauty of His Grace as the prayer requests are replaced with His Gifts to us of flowers, symbolizing the transition to New Life in His Kingdom. Join the transformation. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4 BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION COLLECTION will continue year round. Please cut them out of the product label and stash them in an envelope and put it in the collection plate. REFUGE OF HOPE is the only all men s homeless shelter in Stark County and is located in downtown Canton. They are having their 4 th Anniversary Spring Fundraiser Banquet on Tuesday, April 14 th, at the Hartville Kitchen. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There is no charge, but a free will offering will be taken. Sign up for a Christ Presbyterian Church table/s will be on the Kiosk. Please join us. TAG Tuesday Afternoon Group Tuesday, April 21 TAG continues on Tuesday, April 21 with an entertaining musical program from Christopher Kenney, Director of Education at the McKinley Museum. Chris is a talented pianist and his performance of Songs Without Words will take us from the classical rhythms and romantic melodies of Felix Mendelssohn to the syncopated sounds of jazz and blues. Get swept into music from Phantom of the Opera, and enjoy the familiar theme from the Peanuts cartoons. Chris will also give a brief background about each piece. Making this event extra special, he will perform on the new Bösendorfer piano in the chancel. The TAG chefs will prepare one of their delicious homemade meals. Plan to gather at 11:30 for a time of fellowship and greeting friends, followed by a meditation at 11:45, and lunch at noon. The program will begin at approximately 12:45 pm. The cost is only $7.00. The TAG season will conclude on Tuesday, May 19 with a visit from Ida McKinley. Wondering how that s possible? Mark your calendars now and come find out!
