Welcome to our worship service today! FUMC is a Reconciling Congregation where all persons of any age, gender, gender identity, race, ethnic origin, economic reality, family status, sexual orientation, diverse ability or social status are welcome without reservation to share in God s love. We are always delighted to have visitors seeking fellowship in our Christian community. We invite you to journey with us in ministry and mission. You may indicate your desire to join us on the Ritual of Friendship or by contacting the pastor. Stop by our welcome table in the narthex for further information and stop in the parlor for a cup of coffee between services! Persons with some difficulties hearing, but who do not wear hearing aids, can find receiver/earbuds on the table in the narthex. Feel free to bring your own earbuds! Flowers on the Lord s Table are to the glory of God, from Ellen and Bryon Young. Sunday School will not be in session next Sunday. Learning Opportunities VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - July 22-25, 6-8PM. Programming Mon-Wed; potluck Thursday. Volunteers are still needed! Youth and adults can sign up on the poster in the Narthex or Stacy. Summer Sunday School Teachers Needed: One class will be offered at 10:30am for PreK-2 nd Grade this summer, July 7 August 25. If you are interested in teaching, sign up on the Children s Ministry Board or stacyfumc@frontier.com. 1

2 Fellowship Opportunities UMW Book Club will meet tomorrow at 7pm in the parlor to discuss The Slave Next Door: human trafficking and slavery in America today, by Bales and Soodalter. Next month Little Bee by Chris Cleave on Monday, June 24. All are welcome; you don t have to have read the book to attend. Service Opportunities Please sign up for LAWN MOWING, which is needed for the church and our Filkins Street house; signup sheet outside church office for a particular week between May 6 and November 4 (anytime during the week that is convenient for you). Mower and gasoline in shed. Beyond These Walls (BTW) for May, we are requesting personal care items, toilet paper, and toiletries for men and women. You can put donations in the designated bins in the parlor. Donation slips are available. General Announcements Door locking safety Please be very aware of doors being securely latched and locked if you are the last one in the building. June 2 Bike Trip Info Meetings - 10 & 11:30am Fellowship Hall, if you are planning to go, you need to attend one of these meetings. June 9 is the last Children s Sunday School class!
