2 First-Time Guests Our doors are wide open... to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. ur worship services present an opportunity to worship God and receive practical teaching from His Word, the Bible. So whether you re a committed Christian who wants to sink your roots of faith deeper, or a spiritual seeker who s just starting to ask questions about God, you can find a home here at River Valley. Please take advantage of the information in this brochure. If you would like more information about our church, please visit the Information Table in the lobby or visit our website at Relax and enjoy the Worship Service as our guest, we realize the songs we sing may be unfamiliar, so participate as much as you feel comfortable. Later in our service we will be collecting an offering. Please do not feel any obligation to give. The offering is intended for those who consider River Valley their church home. If you would like prayer our Prayer Team is available in the front of the auditorium at the end of each Worship Service. Take advantage of this opportunity to receive prayer concerning any needs that you may have. Also, our Prayer Room is open during and after all services as a quiet place to pray alone. Please fill out the Connect card...it is located in the chair-back in front of you. Feel free to fill out this card with your information, decisions, praises, or prayer requests and place it in the offering basket when it is passed. 3 For the first time in history, a cinematic teaching series on sexual purity is here to help men get to the root of the problem, while offering proven principles and practical tools to conquer pornography and find freedom. The Conquer Series, unrivaled in its scope and authority, is not about behavior modification, but heart transformation. Recent studies indicate that 65% of Christian men struggle with viewing pornography. This life-changing, 5-week discipleship curriculum provides insights from top Christian leaders who lay out biblical strategies, scientific facts and teach men how to use God s weapons to become conquerors. We are encouraging ALL River Valley men (9 th grade and older) to participate. A Few of the highlights: Explore strongholds that keep men in bondage Examine the neurochemistry of addiction Discover the weapons and strategies of God Investigate proven strategies to prevent relapse Study practical daily techniques to remain free Three Options: - Tuesdays: 6-7:45am (starting June 7) Main Auditorium - Tuesdays: 7-9pm (starting June 7) Main Auditorium - Saturdays: 8-10am (starting June 11) Room 107 Saturday, June 25th Invite someone to help you Serve our community Saturday... Check out the following: BBQs Camping DMGs Game Nights Hiking Life Classes Potlucks Rafting Traveling Basically, summertime is a great time to GROW our friendships through intentionally getting together to have a good time and enjoy each other. If you are not in a group but know a leader, ask that leader if you can join in on the fun! If you are in a group and know someone that could really benefit from a good time with a good group of people, don t keep the fun all to yourselves! Share the love and invite them to one of your functions with the hope that they will attend in the fall. We would love to hear creative ways your group plans to meet over the summer or get some pictures of your group doing life together. Please Carrie at: cjubas@rivervalleycc.org
