2 First-Time Guests Our doors are wide open... to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. Our worship services present an opportunity to worship God and receive practical teaching from His Word, the Bible. So whether you re a committed Christian who wants to sink your roots of faith deeper, or a spiritual seeker who s just starting to ask questions about God, you can find a home here at River Valley. Please take advantage of the information in this brochure. If you would like more information about our church, please visit the Information Center in the main lobby or visit our website at Relax and enjoy the Worship Service as our guest, we realize the songs we sing may be unfamiliar, so participate as much as you feel comfortable. Later in our service we will be collecting an offering. Please do not feel any obligation to give. The offering is intended for those who consider River Valley their church home. If you would like prayer our Prayer Team is available in the front of the auditorium at the end of each Worship Service. Take advantage of this opportunity to receive prayer concerning any needs that you may have. Also, our Prayer Room is open during and after all services as a quiet place to pray alone. Please fill out the Connect card it is located in the chair-back in front of you. Feel free to fill out this card with your information, decisions, praises, or prayer requests and place it in the offering basket when it is passed. 7 Outreach (local & global) Uganda Between July 9, and 25, River Valley will have a team in Uganda, attending to the many needs of our orphans and students. Some will be in Koboko, where our National Director, Camille Hadlock, resides...others will be visiting over six rescue units and SonShine Christian High School, (R.V.C. s high school outside Iganga, Uganda) If you sponsor one of our 1200 orphans, please write them a letter of greeting and encouragement and we ll hand deliver them for you. Please turn the letters into the church office with their name and rescue unit on the outside of the envelope. They will greatly treasure it. And please...keep this team in your prayers. Peru We have a team of eleven traveling to Iquitos, Peru from July 29- August 12. Peru is very open to the Gospel. They also require high school and university students to speak English. This makes it very easy to teach English as a second language, which the team will be doing. They will also be working with drug addicts, ex-cons and convicts in prisons, evangelizing and discipling. They will visit schools and government facilities, giving access to share the Gospel with many. They will hold eye glass clinics, and perform street skits/dramas for the general public. Please pray for their funding to come in. Pray for health and safety. Life Group Spotlight Tim & Rachel Sorenson Young Adult Group The Young Adults group has been meeting on Thursdays at 7pm for the last 6 years. The Sorensons do everything they think a young adult needs or wants in a Life Group: socializing, worship, discussion and guy only/ girl only prayer groups. Last June, they participated in Serve GP by painting at North Valley High School. Tim says, We enjoy coming together and worshiping a God that loves us unconditionally! To get connected in a Life Group call Carrie Jubas: (541) x102 Sorenson Group at NVHS for Serve Grants Pass
