This major fundraising effort will address the parish needs church founda on, flooring & upda ng the sanctuary and archdiocesan needs including seed money for the establishment of new parishes in areas of growth, funds in support of social services Catholic Chari es renders to over 230,000 people a year, the establishment of a pilgrimage center at Mission Concepcion, support for lay ministry forma on, the moderniza on of Assump on Seminary to support priestly forma on, the renova on of Catholic Schools across the archdiocese, and strengthening Campus Ministry at Texas A&M San Antonio and UTSA. The prepara on phase of the capital campaign began last fall. The archbishop and a leadership team of campaign general chairs have been mee ng with major gi donors for the last several months to provide the On the Way - Ándale! Capital Campaign with momentum. As we join other parishes in par cipa ng in Wave 1 & 2 of this important effort, it is with great joy that we report the campaign has already secured gi s and pledges totaling more than $33,858,968! It is now our turn to con nue the great momentum they started. We will be officially kicking off the On the Way- Ándale! 4 Grandparent s Day Mass Last Friday at Mass, we invited our grandparents to join us for our Friday liturgy. Father Ouseph from Nixon was our celebrant. Thank you for making our liturgy special as we celebrated all of our grandparents. Mark Your Calendars Monday, September 17, 2018 is the 85 th Birthday of Sacred Heart School. We will be hosting a Birthday Party in the Hall. Please see the insert to the bulletin and join us as we begin our year-long celebration. On the Hunt for a Drone I am looking for someone with a drone who can take some quality overhead shots of the school and school grounds.
