2 TODAY A very warm Welcome to all who are worshipping with us especially if you are visiting Napier or at the Cathedral for the first time you are invited to join us for morning tea (or coffee!) served at the back of the Cathedral following the 10am service. Congratulations to Daryl Griggs and Roy Felicien, married by the Rev d Dorothy Brooker at Ormond Chapel on yesterday. Congratulations to the Rev d Graeme Pilgrim (40th) and to the Rev d David Biggs, a Waiapu priest serving as Vicar of the Chapel Royal in Brighton UK (35th) both celebrating the anniversaries of their priestly ministry this week; and Congratulations also this St Andrew s-tide, to Bishop Murray Mills celebrating 57 years of ordained ministry with colleagues, the Rev ds Denis Mellsop and Ian Beattie in Nelson this weekend. Bishop Murray is guest preacher in Nelson Cathedral this morning. Congratulations to the Rev ds Sybil Gibson and Peter Jin ordained to the diaconate in the Cathedral yesterday. Sybil is serving at Kopua Retreat Centre, and Peter will be commencing his curacy in Gisborne Parish. 40 th Anniversary of the Ordination of Women to the Priesthood Next Sunday 3 December 2017, 3.00 pm A service to celebrate the 40 th Anniversary of the ordination of women to the priesthood in New Zealand will be held in Waiapu Cathedral. Everybody is invited to come and be part of the celebration. 500 years since the Reformation Thanks to Robin Gwynn for a stimulating series of studies on the Reformation. The group averaged an attendance of 14 at the house meetings. Not only with Robin s expertise did we enter vividly into the issues and lives of key figures of that important period of our history, but we were alerted to priorities and convictions we do well to focus on in our own lives. The series concluded on Tuesday with a celebratory agape supper! MJM The Coffee Club will meet at the Fishbowl Café National Aquarium, Marine Parade for a final gathering for this year. These coffee mornings were started primarily as a means for keeping in touch with former Op-Shop volunteers, however all parishioners and friends are most welcome to attend!
