SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY Couples desiring marriage in the Church should contact the parish office for details at least six months prior to the anticipated date of their wedding. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION Confession is available on Saturdays from 3:00-3:30 pm in St. Bernard s Chapel or by appointment. SACRAMENT OF THE SICK Please notify the parish office if you or a family member is hospitalized or homebound and desires to receive the Eucharist and/or the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Corpus Christi-St. Bernard Parish is a faith community centered in the Eucharistic celebration. Each day we give witness to our baptismal promises and commit ourselves to learn, love, and live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Second Collection: Retired Sisters This weekend s Special Collection will benefit the retired religious women of the Catholic Church. Elderly Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests need your help. Many served for years in Catholic schools, hospitals, and parishes often for little to no pay. Now there is a shortage in retirement savings. Your gift to the Retirement Fund for Religious provides funding for medications, nursing care, and more. 3 THIRTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Knitting Ministry The Knitting Ministry will meet Sunday, November 18,2018 from 3-4:30 at Allen Place. New people regardless of skill are always welcome. Feel free to contact Ann at or The Thanksgiving Food Drive for the families of Julie s Family Learning Program has begun and continues through Monday, November 19th. Julie s Family Learning Program, a social service agency serving low income families in the Greater Boston area, is seeking donations of food items as well as Supermarket Gift Cards to assist Julie's families with Thanksgiving dinner needs. The goal of our 2018 Thanksgiving Food Drive is to provide FROZEN, not fresh turkeys (12 to 15 lbs. each) and Thanksgiving dinner trimmings for all of Julie's families. Nonperishable food items may be left on the table in Fr. Moore Hall the weekend, of November 17/18th or brought to Fr. Moore Hall on weekdays from 10 AM 3:00 PM and left in the marked bin. Supermarket gift cards should be placed in an envelope clearly marked Julie s Family Learning Program Thanksgiving Drive and placed in the Offertory basket or delivered to the parish office. FROZEN, not fresh turkeys can only be accepted between 7:00 AM 5:00 PM on Monday, November 19th at the PARISH HALL. Volunteers are needed throughout the 19th to move non-perishable food items and frozen turkeys. Even though we don t know when death will come, it is not a time to be comfortable and complacent because "of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Therefore, the time to be intentional about following Jesus is NOW, don t wait. 4 The next Monthly Mass for the Sick, sponsored by the Mass for the Sick ministry of Sacred Heart/Our Lady Help of Christians Collaborative, will be on Monday, Nov. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady s Church. Fr. Dan Riley, Administrator of our SHOL collaborative, will celebrate the Mass and Anointing of the Sick. Following refreshments, Fr. Dan will speak on Happiness Goes Up After 50. The evening is designed to bring joy, hope, and peace to those who are affected by illness, including family and friends. The Mass and program will both be held downstairs at Our Lady s church,. To make this a success we are coun ng on dona ons from our Parish Family who wish to donate. Dona ons will be accepted on our drop off date of Nov. 17th from 9 4 in the Parish Hall across the street from the church. We are looking for gently used items, items that you may not have a use for anymore or items that you think someone else may enjoy for our a c treasures room. Jewelry for our jewelry table can be dropped off on our drop off day or during the week in a marked basket in the parish office. We need our wonderful bakers to step forward to donate delicious baked goods! Whether cupcakes, cookies or muffins, we accept all yummy treats for our bake sale. These items can be dropped off the night before the fes val on Nov. 30th in the parish hall or at 9:00 the morning of the fes val on Dec. 1st. Finally, if you are dona ng a silent auc on item, please bring it to our drop off day on November 17th or you may call Polly at to make other arrangements if necessary. Bereavement: In order to make future plans we would like to know how many might be interested in attending a series on bereavement in the coming months. If you have lost a loved one and feel the need of support in coping with the grieving process, please contact either Sr. Jeanette or Matt Dear Parishioners, It has been brought to our attention that over the weekend several parishioners have received an from hackers pretending to be Fr. Dan. These s were asking for donations towards different causes and asked people to use I-tunes gift card codes to donate. If you receive such an , please delete it.
