(Family) YOUR WEEKLY FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF OUR PARISH IS VERY MUCH NEEDED AND APPRECIATED. Next weekend (July 1st) there is one collection for your regular parish support. The total Sunday offering for the weekend of June 17th was $4, IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE SENDS IN THEIR BACK ENVELOPES TO AVOID A DEFICIT SITUA- TION IN THE PARISH. Your faithful and generous support is very much needed and appreciated. Thank you and God Bless you! A THOUGHTFUL GESTURE One of the most thoughtful things a parishioner can do is to remember our parish in their will or request that memorial contributions be made to this parish in place of flowers at a time of the death of a loved one...this is a strong tribute to the person s Faith and their love and concern for our parish...god Bless You! WORCESTER ADULT DROPIN ACTIVITY: On MONDAYS from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM each week, we will have an Adult Drop In Activity in our parish center. We provide coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. Come on down and socialize with friends, talk, knit, play cards, dominoes, scrabble, cribbage, or take part in other activities. PLEASE NOTE: A SPECIAL TREAT, TO- MORROW, MONDAY, JUNE 25TH, WE WILL BE PROVIDING A FREE LUNCH FOR ALL WHO ATTEND THE ADULT DROPIN AC- TIVITY THAT DAY. LUNCH WILL CONSIST OF HOT DOGS, CHIPS, BEVERAGES, WA- TERMELON AND DESSERT. THE EVENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE AND ALL ADULTS ARE INVITED AND MOST WEL- COME TO JOIN US. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO JOIN US, AND/OR CAN BAKE A DESSERT, PLEASE CALL SR. IRENE TO LET HER KNOW HOW MANY ARE COMING SO THAT WE CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! REST IN PEACE Please remember in your prayers, Robert J. Inangelo, and William F. Hester, who were recently buried from our parish. MAY THEY REST IN PEACE. AMEN.
3 T N S J B UNEXPECTED CHURCH REPAIRS: We have discovered that our Church air conditioning system needs about $2, in repairs and maintenance, and our Church heating system needs about $1, in repairs (including replacing one whole section of radiator, which is cracked and leaking). This means that we are now faced with $3, in unexpected repairs. In your envelope packet for July, there is an Air Conditioning envelope for the weekend of July 15th. To run the air conditioning unit, cost wise, is equal to running the heat in the winter. This year I am asking everyone to be extra generous in this envelope. We need money to help defray the operational cost of the air conditioning, and we need money for these other repairs, so the money we receive from this Air Conditioning envelope is needed for all three of these items. So I am asking you to consider making a one time extra gift of $50, $75, or $100 (or more if possible). If anyone can give a gift of $250 or more, they will be given a Bronze Leaf on the Tree of Honor located in the side entrance to the Church. Just as a point of clarification, the monthly Maintenance envelope (which usually brings in $750/month) is used for necessary electrical, plumbing, and other repairs which happen every month, with three very large and old buildings. Every so often we face an extra large situation that we have to deal with to maintain our Church property in very good condition. Also, I just want you to know that this June, my six year term as Pastor here is expiring, but Bishop McManus has sent me a letter of renewal of my term, which I accept because of the commitment and dedication of you, the parishioners, of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. Sincerely, Father Pat HawthornePastor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BABY BOTTLE DRIVE: To those who brought in your baby bottle donations, thank you very much. If you forgot, please return them next weekend at any of the Masses. Thank you for helping mothers who have chosen life for their babies. MONTHLY FOOD COLLECTION Next week, we have our monthly food collection at all Masses. Please try to remember to bring in some nonperishable food items for the needy. Please leave your items near the baptismal font, or in the bins inside the Fales Street entrance, when you come to Mass. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU! PARTNERS IN CHARITY 2018: If you have already made your gift: THANK YOU! If you have not, please prayerfully consider your gift and choose to participate. Gifts can be made online at or by using a pledge envelope found in the pews. SUMMERTIME PRAYER Father, Creator of all, thank You for summer! Thank You for the warmth of the sun and the increased daylight. Thank You for the beauty I see all around me and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation. Thank You for the time I have to be with my friends and family, and for the more casual pace of the summer season. Draw me closer to You this summer. Teach me how I can pray no matter where I am or what I am doing. Warm my soul with the awareness of Your presence and light my path with Your Word and Counsel. As I enjoy Your creation, create in me a pure heart and a hunger and a thirst for You. Amen.
