Presentations, Delegations and Petitions Katherine Hamilton - CBT Community Liaison gave a brief presentation on the current and new grant opportunities that are available through Columbia Basin Trust. Mayor Juras and Council thanked Ms. Hamilton for her presentation and continued support.

2 7. Unfinished Business a) Unsightly Premise, Noise & Municipal Ticketing Bylaw # Moved by Marcil seconded by M. Delorme THAT Staff be directed to advertise in Community Newsletter for interested persons to become part of a Unsightly Premise Bylaw # 132, Noise Control Bylaw # 133, and Municipal Ticketing Bylaw # 134, Task Force with a closing date of January 3 rd, 2012, which will make recommendations to Council regarding amendments to the above mentioned Bylaws, followed by a COTW Meeting at a later date, for more public input. 8. Correspondence (Receive & Reply) 1. Receive only a) Natural Resource Road Act Project # Moved by M. Delorme seconded by Marcil THAT the following comments be submitted in response to the Natural Resource Road Act Project discussion paper by December 15 th, 2011; WHEREAS the Village of Canal Flats is affected by the outcome of the Natural Resource Road Act, the Village of Canal Flats therefore submits the following comments to UBCM for the Province of British Columbias consideration; i) outline the consultation process in more detail ii) be more definitive in who was consulted ie. Industry, developers back country enthusiasts etc. iii) be more specific on the process of seeking maintainers of the road iv) how will this impact local industry and have they been consulted. 2. For Council Resolution or Action a) Letter RCMP re: Community Priorities Meeting # THAT Council, receive for information, the letter from Sgt. Marko Shehovac, regarding a joint meeting with RCMP and Mayors, Council and CAO`s from Invermere, Radium and Canal Flats, to be held January 19, 2012 at 7 pm at the College of the Rockies in Invermere; AND direct Staff to respond to Columbia Valley RCMP Detachment regarding the following Council members and staff attendance: Mayor Ute Juras, Evence Blanchard, Marie Delorme and CAO Brian Woodward. 2

3 b) Letter re: Rocky Mtn. Trench Ecosystem Restoration Program # Moved by Marcil seconded by Blanchard THAT Council receive for information and comment, the letter from BJ Randall Harris regarding Rocky Mountain Eco System Restoration Program AND request more detailed mapping and information regarding local employment opportunities. c) Letter re: Communities in Bloom #2011=4455 Moved by Marcil seconded by M. Delorme THAT Council receive for information the letter from Heather Edwards, BC CiB Chair, regarding the communities in Bloom Program. d) Cancellation of December 28 th, 2011 Council Meeting # Moved by Blanchard seconded by Marcil THAT Village of Canal Flats Council cancel the Regular Council Meeting scheduled for December 28 th, e) Holiday Office Hours # Moved by M. Delorme seconded by Blanchard THAT the Village of Canal Flats Municipal Office be closed from noon Friday, December 23 rd, 2011 to January 3 rd, Regular hours to resume January 4 th, f) Schedule of Regular Council Meetings 2012 # Moved by Marcil seconded by M. Delorme THAT the Village of Canal Flats Council adopt the Schedule of Regular Council Meetings for g) Celebrate Canada Grant application # Moved by Marcil seconded by M. Delorme THAT Council endorse the Canada Day Fireworks Display at Tilley Memorial Park and to directt Staff to apply for the Celebrate Canada! Funding in the amount of $
