4 CARDIO CAFÉ Would you like to get your exercise inside rather than out in the cold weather? This year we are again offering a solution. Beginning Tuesday October 30, each Tuesday and Thursday [with the exception Nov. 8 Holiday Shoppe set up day] during the winter months the ARC will be open from 8:30am to 10:00am. This is a chance to get out, walk around the gym, enjoy a cup of coffee and a light snack with friends. FOCUSING THE DREAM: Take a look at the list on the bulletin insert this morning. The list of needs in our community has now been prioritized by where the people of Central Park Church feel they have the gifts and passion to make a difference. Take this list home and once again make it a matter of prayer. On November 4, we want to narrow this list down to one thing that we will work at together. It is our goal to meet needs in a way that gives people a new lease on life. A RIDDER - CHURCHES LEARNING CHANGE RETREAT will be held this week at Maranatha Conference Center. Our Ridder Church Renewal team members who will be attending are Pastor Kevin, Kathy TenBrink, Shawn Voss & Kyle Wright. Pastor Kevin will be at the retreat Thursday thru Saturday. The rest of the team will join him for Friday evening and Saturday. Al Schut is also a member of our Ridder Team. MONDAY NIGHT BASKETBALL: People from our community are eager to play basketball in the ARC on Monday evenings. Are you willing to help out with opening and closing the doors? It is helpful if you play basketball, but that is not necessary. We are looking for enough people to each cover one Monday evening a month from November through March. Talk to Kyle Nevenzel or Paul Towne if you can help make this connection in our community. OPERATION CHIRISTMAS CHILD: The Boy/Girls tags are now available along with Shoe Boxes to fill. The tags include gift ideas and restrictions. Pick yours up at the display in the Gathering Place. Fill your Shoe Box with special items for a child and include a $9.00 donation to cover shipping. November 11 is collection Sunday. FORMER PASTOR DAVID LANDEGENT has written a daily devotional on the book of Colossians. Spend a year walking through this letter of Paul verse by verse and allow God s Word to shape your life. A Year in Colossians is available in paperback or ebook on Amazon.com. A copy is available in the church library for you to look at before you make a purchase.
