After six successful years of continued growth, SA continues to renew a large and growing list of supporters who have joined this exciting Long Beach community event. The SAINTS RUN committee is now actively working to secure new sponsors and we ask you to consider joining us as a sponsor for this year s SAINTS RUN Last year s RUN drew more than 1,000 participants, all gathering to enjoy a great day at the beach, race festivities, prizes and awards at the winner s circle ceremony - all for a great cause supporting students as they develop leadership skills and expand their service to the community. All proceeds from the SAINTS RUN go to sustain St. Anthony High School s financial aid program providing over $1 million in tuition assistance annually to underserved, low income families who would not otherwise be able to afford a quality, Catholic, college preparatory education. Your sponsorship also provides an opportunity to promote your business and your support of The Saints to our local community and a growing alumni population who live primarily in Southern California and the greater Long Beach area. Gather your employees (teams are encouraged to form), run as a family, or in honor of a loved one, family member or student, all while heightening community visibility for you, your business, organization or family, as we reach out to more than 1,000 event participants and the greater Long Beach community. This year St. Anthony High School is celebrating 95 years of serving Long Beach area families who value a personalized, relatively small, high school experience within a values-based, college preparatory setting. St. Anthony s students come from diverse cultural, religious and economic backgrounds and participate in a rigorous program of academic excellence and community involvement. St. Anthony s is proud that 100% of its graduates for the last six years have gone on to college or the military, locally and nationally. The school continues to enjoy increased enrollment each year, and this growth makes your support most important, as St. Anthony s strives to provide excellence in education and opportunity for students from all economic backgrounds and neighborhoods. 3 St. Anthony High School SAINTS RUN 2016 Overview and Introduction St. Anthony High School s 7 th Annual SAINTS RUN continues to bring our Long Beach Community together at the beach each year. SAINTS RUN 2016 will be held on Saturday, March 12, :00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. Registration) beginning at Shoreline Aquatic Park. The 5K course is a flat, out-and-back run along the beautiful Long Beach shoreline with water stations at the turn-around and finish. It is a perfect course for new runners, seniors, and walkers. The SAINTS RUN is not only an enjoyable day along the beach, but an ideal 5K for attaining a new personal best as a runner. All entrants receive specially-designed event t-shirts and additional healthy goodies. At the Awards Ceremony, the top three runners in all age groups receive medals, and gifts will be presented to acknowledge approved company, family, alumni and corporate teams. St. Anthony s SAINTS RUN Background The SAINTS RUN is organized and presented by the SAHS Parents & Educators in Partnership (PEP) volunteer parent organization. All proceeds benefit St. Anthony High School s financial aid program (Sponsor-A-Saint). St. Anthony High School was founded in 1920 by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart and St. Anthony Parish and provides a quality, affordable Catholic college preparatory education to families in the greater Long Beach area. College-bound students from diverse cultural, religious and economic backgrounds come together to participate in a rigorous program of academic excellence and community involvement. At 95 years young, St. Anthony High School is still Long Beach s only Catholic college preparatory high school and is one of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles top performing high schools. Last year St. Anthony High School s SAINTS RUN 2015, drew more than 1,000 participants who enjoyed a wonderful day along the Long Beach shoreline, while raising more than $48,000 in profit for financial aid programs for students who live in the greater Long Beach area. Runners and sponsors are treated to a scenic early morning race along the Long Beach waterfront that was punctual, well organized and included fun activities for all ages.
