He is survived by his high-school sweetheart and loving wife of 60 years, Marlene, two daughters, Jo D. Dibrell of Dallas, Jill Nennmann of Minneapolis, his sister, Merry Lee Wilson of Chattanooga, grandsons Steven Daniel (Victoria) Seybold of Austin, Joseph Benton Seybold of Seattle, nieces, nephews, and eagerly anticipating the birth of his first great-grandchild. Beloved and respected, David was elected to serve as Grand Master of Texas Masons in He was also Trustee for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital of Dallas, Past Grand Patron of Grand Chapter of Texas OES, leader of genealogical and historical societies, and adult leader for DeMolay and International Order of Rainbow Girls. 3 The Trestleboard From the East Jason Jacobs Worshipful Master Howdy brothers! It s another wonderful month here in Texas. I hope this finds everyone in great health. We will shortly have the Gun raffle tickets to sell in our hands. We all need to try and sell as many as we can in order to cover the scholarships to be handed out later in the year. The more we sell means the less we have to pull from somewhere else in order to cover them. If anyone has any ideas to help raise funds for the Lodge I m all ears. As many of you noticed at the last stated meeting we are going to have to pull from our savings in order to cover costs of the Lodge. The amount we are going to have to pull is just about $14,000. Any fund raisers we do will greatly help in reducing this number. One of the topics I put out at the Stated Meeting was going to an Electronic Trestleboard. Right now with our electronic version we reach enough of the membership that we satisfy Grand Lodge requirements. We are able to put a ton of more information on an electronic version than we are ever able to put on a paper one. Going to a paperless newsletter will save the lodge a lot of money. More will be discussed at the next stated meeting. Until we see each other again I hope that each of you stays in good health. Jason Jacobs
From the West Ben West Senior Warden Thanks for the good words received for the hard work in the kitchen and I know it will be even better with the up coming crew this year. As you all know I usually spend the summers traveling. This year is a little different. The first leg of my trip was to Colorado and Wyoming, reconnecting with my roots. I did talk to the Secretary of the Lodge where I was raised but was not able to attend as they are dark during the summer. That is the case with most lodges in that part of the country. Am now on second leg of trip in Virginia spending time with my sons family on the farm. It s been great catching up with Grand and Great Grand children. Wee!, there are a lot of them! The last leg of trip will be to Ohio where my son has been working for the last two months and then back home around the first of August. Will need some rest after all the miles. Will be nice to see ya ll and share story s. As always may God be with all and may He Bless one and all. Ben West
From the South Bill Jacobs Junior Warden Well brothers we are underway on a new Masonic year with lots to do. Along with that, we have a few budget items. I will endeavor to be conservative with the Stewards budget, but I will continue to try to provide meals that you will enjoy. Not counting the meals for the Stated Meeting and monthly Birthday celebration, Tabernacle Lodge will host a Masonic Service Bureau meeting and MWSA meeting. I don t know right now if we will host a Forum & Exam, but we need to anticipate that possibility. Where we can use some assistance to help offset the cost is putting a little something in the Donation Box. But We Will Never Deny Anyone a meal, nor count heads. As some of you already know, the built in oven in the lodge kitchen gave up the ghost on Tuesday and we really need two ovens for preparation of the meals. That oven is as old as the building and has long outlived expectations. With that said I am looking for any suggestion from you as to how we can replace it. Any suggestions at all will be appreciated. As always we would love to see all of our brothers at the next stated meeting. You can t Fellowship by yourself. Bill Jacobs
From the secretary Mark Solomon Brethren, I just returned off of my vacation and ready to get back to work. We closed the Lodge of Sorrow, opened another Lodge of Sorrow, had our Installation and conferred a Fellowcraft degree. We have several candidates working on their esoteric work and would love to see you up here at our weekly floor school for some fellowship and to keep our degree work up. Our Chaplain and District Instructor, Brother Don Webb, is faithful in his attendance and loves to teach. Just a thought for you to consider; Brothers before us spent much time learning the esoteric work so that we could be taught after joining the Fraternity. Who will teach the next generation of Masons coming in, if not us? I have fond memories of my time with the Brothers that taught me, and made lifetime friendships. Fraternally, Mark Solomon August Birthdays Charles Bennett, R:.W:. Donald Broughton, George Brown Jr., Jack Dye Sr., James Felkins, Alex Forster, James Glass, James D. Hawkins, Bill Jacobs, Kenneth Kerr, Steven Klein, John Linehan, Troy Lucas, William McHam, Ray McKown, Edwin Miles, John Puckett, Ernie Runyon, Floyd Rutledge, Mark Solomon, Andy Walker, William White, Morgan Wolfe
On July 6, 2018, Brother Joseph Klein was recognized and awarded for 50 years as a Scottish Rite Mason. Brother Frank Loui, Sovereign Grand Inspector General (SGIG) for the Orient of California presented the award on behalf of the Fort Worth Scottish Rite Valley. Brother Klein is a 50 year plus member of Tabernacle Masonic Lodge #1195. On the right is Brother Joe s son, Steven Klein (KCCH) Brother Joe as installed as Worshipful Master of Tabernacle Lodge in 1999 by, then, Grand Senior Warden David Dibrell. אוהב אותך אבא

Christmas Wish Project of Tarrant County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving foster children in Tarrant County by providing Christmas toys and bicycles. Christmas Wish Project works with individual foster parents to understand each foster child s special wish for the perfect Christmas toy. For some children a big Lego City Train set is the ultimate gift, and some have been dreaming of their very first bicycle. In 2017 CWP provided for over 1200 foster children. CWP does all of this using a lot of creativity, hard work and donations. 100% of all donations are used for presents for the children. Everything is utilized to provide toys and bicycles for children. We appreciate volunteers to sort and tag toys, donate gift cards, help with toy loading and donate warehouse space. You can learn more about Christmas Wish Project of Tarrant County at or Becky beckyhaskin1958@gmail.com Please attend the Masonic Service Bureau Meeting on August 8 to see a presentation by the ladies of the Christmas Wish Project of Tarrant County.
