3 ST. LUKE S NEWSLETTER PAGE 3 UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF PLEDGE INCOME The Vestry is pleased to update the status of the parish s pledge giving. As reported after March, St Luke s largest source of income is the donations from its parishioners. Each fall, during the stewardship campaign, parishioners pledge to give an amount in the coming year. During the 2017 stewardship campaign, St Luke s parishioners pledged to give approximately $160,000 in After March, we reported that, parishioners had contributed $53,594 toward their pledges which was $8,206 behind budget. The Vestry was overwhelmed by the response to last month s report. The amount pledged received in the month of April was $22, 025. This was almost double the budgeted amount of $11,500. With this collection, the parish was $2,519 ahead of budget at the end of April. The Vestry again wishes to express its gratitude for the support of the congregation and wishes to thank everyone for their continued support. WE DID IT!! The 7.78 acres of our wooded lot on Ayrault Road has been sold to the Town of Perinton for $150,000 (appraised value). A 200 ft. buffer along the south side of the parking lot will remain as Church property. The town plans to keep the property as green space. The neighbors are extremely happy with this outcome. up on the hill This sale of the property is one of our key Strategic Goals. It is intended that the proceeds of the sale will be added to our Endowment fund. We anticipate the close to take place by the end June. I want to thank the Property Sales team; David Crocker, Ralph Henderson and Georgiana Prince for their participation and dedication to our Real Estate project. Thanks to the vestry and congregation for their support over the past two years as we moved forward with the sale. If you have any questions, please contact Gail Murray at gmurray16@roadrunner.com.
