Welcome to Worship today! We are delighted to welcome you in our Christian community. We invite all to journey with us in ministry and mission. LARGE PRINT hymnals, bulletins and Bibles are readily available; please ask an usher if you need help finding one. FOR THOSE WITH CHILDREN: We are glad you are here! There is a children s cart with Children s Worship Bulletins and Activity Bags which include crayons. The bulletins contain activities and coloring sheets that match the sermon and scripture. We love to have the children stay in worship (wiggles and giggles are welcomed and sacred sounds). Yet, if you would like your child to attend the nursery (birth-5), it is staffed with Safe Sanctuary trained individuals. You are welcome to bring them to the nursery any time during the service. Service Opportunities Please consider signing up for a food item on the BTW (Beyond These Walls) list in the hallway. We need several food items for the homeless shelters for our visit on October 21. We would appreciate any donations you can give! Also, we need a person(s) who would be willing to make 6 pans of brownies each month for the Sanctuary House and the Francis Center Homeless Centers. The brownies are usually needed for the 3 rd Sunday of the month. BTW would provide the mixes, ingredients; pick up at church. Contact Sue Golembeski, , if interested. Learning/Fellowship Opportunities Naomi Circle will meet on Thursday, October 11 at 9:30am in room 204. We will have a Travelogue A train trip from Rochester around Lake Ontario, with stops in Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City and Montreal by Ron and Jane Tucker. Everyone is welcome to Hike Birdsong Trail at Mendon Ponds Park on October 13 at 1pm. Check out the Children s Ministry bulletin board for more details. NEW DVD/Book Study: Starting October 23, Tuesdays at 4 will begin a 5 week study of Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn t Say (A second study on an Adam Hamilton book!) Bishop Webb will lead a presentation of the plan and process of General Conference. There is a way for FUMC to learn and have conversation regarding the special General Conference FUMC Reconciling Ministries and Church Council will be having a luncheon on Nov. 11 at 12pm so that we can begin to understand what is coming before GC in February!
