Mrs. Copeland died Wednesday, May 19, at Madison South Convalescent Center. Born at Deep Creek, WA, she was the daughter of Francis (Frank) and Sarah Jane (Skillings) Armstrong. She attended schools in Spokane and was a member of the Audubon Terrace Branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Copeland and her husband, Earl L. Copeland, were married in Spokane and celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary December 16, Survivors include her husband, at the home; one daughter, Delores Copeland of Spokane; one sister, Helen Gunter of Sagle, ID; and two brothers, Elvin Al and Raymond Armstrong. COX, WILLIAM MARVIN b. - - / d Congregation William Marvin Cox, 65, of 1004 Roberdeau St., Richland, WA, died Tuesday, February 28, 1973, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was born in Missouri City, MO, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 30 years. He was a retired security patrolman for ITT, a member of the Kadlec Medical Foundation, and the Richland Branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was once [Spokane] District Youth Leader and pastor for eight years of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church in Richland. Survivors include wife, Mildred; sons, William Jr. and James, both of Kennewick, WA; daughters, Mrs. James (Jackie) Lorenzen and Mrs. William (Judy) Winters, both of Richland; sister, Mrs. B. G. (Roberta) Wheeler, Richland; and five grandchildren. Friends may call at Einan s Funeral Home until 8:00 p.m. today. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made in his name to Pastor Mack S. Reninger, 1119 Cedar, Richland, WA. FREIMUTH, WILDA ALMA (McCarty) b / d South Hill WA Congregation Wilda A. Freimuth passed away December 17, 1979 in. She was a 45-year resident of the area.

Maggie Kinne, Spokane; Fay Quant, Audrey Jackson and Nina McCracken, all of Mitchell, OR; Mamie McPhetridge and Elbert McCarty, Prineville, OR; and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She is a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 1979 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alwin Chapel, Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, N1306 Monroe St., with Elders Clarence Porter and A. C. Lawrence officiating. Burial services will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens. The family suggests that memorials may be given to the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. GARRARD, JOY M. (Nelson) Pocatello ID b / d Pocatello ID Congregation Sarah Mary Joy (Nelson) Garrard, 93, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully of causes natural to age on, Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, while in the company of family members at her residence. Joy was born on December 21, 1918, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Emma (Sparks) and Charley Nelson. She grew up in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School. Joy met Earl Garrard while taking a class at the College of Idaho Southern Branch (now ISU). They were married on November 12, 1938, in Pocatello. After a few years of living in Ogden, Utah, Joy and Earl moved back to Pocatello, where they remained and raised their family. They were married 54 years before Earl passed away in Joy loved challenges and working with numbers. She was the payroll clerk for the Pocatello School district from 1958 through 1980, taking them from the old posting machines into the computer age. She was reliable and efficient and a stickler for accuracy. After she retired she was able to pursue her interests of reading, crocheting Afghans for everyone, gardening, camping, traveling, walking. She volunteered at the local hospitals for several years in the '80s and '90s, first in the dialysis center and then in marketing and development. Joy was an active member of the Community of Christ. She served as their pianist/organist for over 75 years, last playing on Easter of this year. Her faith in God was strong and she liked helping out wherever she was able. Joy loved being surrounded by her family. Her home was their central hub, filled with love and food and laughter. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always in her thoughts and prayers. Joy is survived by one sister, Gloria Chaney of Venice, Fla.; three daughters, Linda (Dwain) Baxter, Boise, Idaho, Rosanne Vigueras, Pocatello, and Audrey Butler, Pocatello; six grandchildren, Kerry (Ronda) Baxter, Boise, Craig (Tammy) Baxter, Boise, Catrina (Scott) Thomas, Boise, Wendy (Scott) Serrano, Pocatello, Brian (Kirsten) Martin, Pocatello and Sam (Ashlee) Butler, Pocatello; 16 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, her parents, a sister, a brother and a greatgrandson. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lance and Diane Peck of Downard Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Downard Funeral Home, 241 North Garfield Ave., Pocatello, Idaho. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank all the many medical professionals who attended to Joy and all the neighbors and friends who have been so supportive and loving and kind during this difficult time. Joy was always concerned for people who did not

Published in Idaho State Journal on August 10, JENSEN, WILLIAM ANDREW b / d South Hill WA Congregation A funeral service for William Andrew Jenson, age 95 and for 50 years an employee of the Northern Pacific Railroad, will be held tomorrow, September 19, 1979 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Mausoleum in Spokane. Mr. Jenson, born in Knapp, WI, was a resident of this area for 72 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He died Sunday, September 16 at a local convalescent center. Survivors include his wife, Adelaide Ester, at home in Spokane; one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Willa) Cowles, Spokane; two sons, Omer Curtis Jenson, Spokane, and Sinclair Jenson, Springfield, OR; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. NELSON, HELEN BERNIECE (Crist) Pocatello ID b / d Pocatello ID Congregation Helen Berniece Nelson, age 78, St. Anthony Place, Pocatello, ID, died on Friday, September 27, 2002, as the result of an automobile accident that also took the life of her beloved son, Bob. She was born December 21, 1923, in Alexander, ID, to Charles M. and Emma M. Nelson and was one of four children in her family. She was raised in Pocatello, went to school here and resided here many years. She also resided for several years in Blackfoot, ID, with her former husband, Vern Teuscher, raising their children in Blackfoot and in Pocatello. She resided in Boise, ID, for 20-plus years and just recently moved back to the area to be near her family. Berniece was a loving individual who taught her children to love one another and always be kind to others. She had many trials in her life and found her own unique way to go on and persevere. She kept active, swimming three times a week, and she loved to walk outdoors. She was a fabulous cook, a creative seamstress and a wonderful homemaker. She kept her mind alert while avidly watching C-Span, news programs, and working crossword puzzles. She was always a phone call away for anyone in need. She was a member of the Community of Christ church and loved the many church friends she had throughout the years. She served the Lord as a teacher and women's leader and supported many people. Her faith gave her strength. Survivors include her ex-husband, Vern J. Teuscher; sons, Charles W. Crist (Jacque), Boise, Michael D. Crist, Pocatello, Vern D. Teuscher, Seattle, WA; a daughter, Nancy Crist Hancock, Pocatello; two sisters, Joy Garrard, Pocatello, and Gloria Chaney, Sarasota, FL; a brother, Larry Nelson (Dixie), Nampa, ID; grandchildren, Roger Crist, Pleasant Grove, UT, Jerry Crist, Pocatello, Nathan R. Hancock, Loveland, CO, and Marissa J. Hancock, Castle Rock, Colo.; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Emma Nelson, and a former husband, William Crist. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2002, at Downard Hansen Funeral Home, 241 N. Garfield Ave., Pocatello, ID.

A luncheon for family and friends will be held following interment, at the Community of Christ Church, 4588 Bannock Highway in Pocatello. RANEY, VIOLET M. (Wagar) Clarkston WA b / d Lewis-Clark (Clarkston) WA Congregation Violet M. Raney, a retired waitress and Clarkston resident, died of congestive heart failure at Clarkston Care Center on Thursday, January 25, She was 71. She was born May 29, 1924, to Joseph Arron and Edith Ellen Wagar at Minot, North Dakota, where she grew up and attended school. Her family later moved to Genesee, ID. During World War II she worked as a welder in the shipyards at Portland, OR. She married Walter Korbe in They later divorced. She returned to Lewiston where she worked as a waitress at various restaurants including Eng's, Bollinger Cafe, Raymond Hotel Cafe, Eddie's Tavern, Jack's Place, Irene's Bakery, Headquarters Cafe and Curley's No. 2 in North Lewiston. She married Thomas Dresher in January 1949 at Lewiston. They divorced in She also worked at Nelson s Cafe in Clarkston, Goodwill and The Salvation Army. For the past few years she had lived at Clarkston. She married Walter Raney in 1978 and their marriage ended in divorce in She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed fishing, camping and working. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Elsie Sauerbier of Lenore, ID, and Evona Springston of Clarkston, WA; one son, Mark Shirrod of Boise, ID; one sister, Opal Benjamin of Clarkston; one brother, Oscar Wagar of Genesee; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother died previously. The memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Merchant Funeral Home. Elder Marie Strand of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Clarkston will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Genesee Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Wishing Star Foundation in care of Merchant Funeral Home. STADE, FRED L. b. - - / d Congregation Fred L. Stade, 76, of 1506 Perkins Ave., Richland, WA, died Friday, May 28, 1971, in Kadlec Hospital. He was born in Chilliwack, BC, Canada, and had lived in Richland 24 years. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a retired General Electric mechanic. Survivors are his wife, Jennie; son, Wardell of Richland; brother, Frank of Richmond, MO; five sisters, Maude Cawthon and Mrs. Tom O Connor, both of Cameron, MO, Mrs. Mary Berbaum, Olatha, KS, Mrs. Cash Stubblefield, Odessa, MO, and Mrs. Maynard Case, Independence, MO; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today, May 30, at Einan s Funeral Home with Elder A. M. Crownover officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. VIVIER, SHARON YVONNE (Verhei) b / d Sagle ID Congregation / Spokane North WA Congregation Sharon Vivier, former nursing director of the emergency department at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, died of cancer Wednesday, September 11, 1985, at St. Luke's. She was 40 years of age. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 16 at Hazen & Jaeger Valley

Born October 9, 1944, at Sandpoint, ID, the daughter of Donald and Phyllis Verhei of Sagle, ID, she came to Spokane 22 years ago and graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing in She was a certified emergency nurse and a member of the Inland Empire chapter of Emergency Department Nurses and the Washington State Nursed Association. She was selected for Who's Who in Nursing in Sharon was a devout Christian, but she never talked of it very much. She didn't need to. She lived it. Mrs. Vivier was active in the St. Luke's Alumni Association and was a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and American Heart Association. She assisted in organizing and staffing the Bloomsday first-aid stations, annually. She also was a member of the Audubon Branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Mead High School Booster Club. Mrs. Vivier and her husband, Edward Roy Vivier, had been married 20 years. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Edward Robert and Donald Louis Vivier, and one daughter Debra Lynn Vivier, all at the home; her parents, Donald and Phyllis (Cummins) Verhei of Sagle, Idaho; and two brothers, including Donald Richard (Dick) Verhei of Chattaroy, WA, and Larry Wayne Verhei of Federal Way, WA. *** Sharon Yvonne (Verhei) Vivier passed away September 11, 1985, in a local Spokane, WA, hospital just 28 days before her 41st birthday. She was a Spokane resident. Wife of Edward Roy Vivier at the home; mother of Debra Vivier, Edward Robert Vivier, Donald Lewis Vivier, all at the home; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Verhei, Sagle, ID; sister of Donald Richard Verhei, Deer Park, WA, Larry Wayne Verhei, Federal Way, WA; granddaughter of Blanche Verhei, Sagle, ID; aunt of Robin Verhei, Spokane, Todd Verhei, Spokane.
