I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Prayer of Confession Mike Herber One: Please join me in our Prayer of Confession: Many: Gracious, inviting God, you continually provide us with opportunities to practice generous hospitality. But our fear of difference, reluctance to share, and desire to be in control make our welcome appear weak and insincere. Because we long for what is familiar and comfortable, we have difficulty honoring the stranger as a sacred guest who bears the face of Christ. Worn out and irritated by the work we think we must do, we miss opportunities to receive the gifts that such guests offer us. Forgive us, O God, for focusing on the wrong things. Show us how to do what is right. * Take a moment to lift your silent prayers to the Lord. Words of Assurance Mike Herber One: The Psalmist declares that those who speak the truth from their heart will abide in God s sanctuary. God hears the difficult truths we have named aloud and in the silence of our hearts. Now let the wonderful gift of God s forgiveness flow through you. 4 Please Pray For: Health and healing for those in our church family who are battling illness/health issues. For those who have recently lost loved ones. The financial welfare and stewardship of our church, its members and friends. Friend and neighbor of the Lowry s passed away after a battle with lung cancer. Pray for comfort. Russell and Ashton Family with the loss of Nephew who was killed in a motor cycle accident. Doris Douglas daughter in law, Jocellyn, suffering from severe back pain. RoseMary MacKeen asks prayer for Craig Browning, prayer for well being. Mary Hawkins asks prayer for the Stites family with the passing of her brother, Roger. Calvin Thompson, asks blessing on a men s recovery group at Prado Day Center. Mike Albertson s friend, who has spinal issues. Don Gugeler s sister, Doris, is doing better. Bodie Bennett s fourth and final open heart surgery is scheduled for July 29th.
