8 When: Sunday, April 14, 2019 Immediately following the Palm Sunday service, we will meet and celebrate the Easter holiday! Meats and macaroni and cheese will be provided. You are asked to bring your favorite dish, your family and of course, your Easter basket! Come join us for food, games, crafts, and an outside egg hunt (dress accordingly). We will be accepting candy donations from now until April 12 th. Please bring your donations to church and place in the designated box in the Narthex. 10 SEEKING YOUR SUPPORT FOR CLAYTON'S ARMY On Saturday June 1 the Pittsburgh Region Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will hold its annual Great Strides 5K Walk to raise money for research to fight cystic fibrosis. Not sure what cystic fibrosis is? Well, briefly it is a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that makes it difficult to breathe. At present there is no cure for it. And most patients die before the age of 45. Once again, we'll be walking as part of Clayton's Army. Clayton Himmler is our nephew. He was born on October 24, Last year s Great Strides Walk raised nearly $400, by the day of the Walk more donations came in later. Clayton s Army raised nearly $10,00.00 of that amount. This year, we hope to do even more. We're asking for your help. It's a 5K walk. Could you donate 20 cents a kilometer ($1.00)? Or 40 cents ($2.00)? Or $1.00 ($5.00)? Or some other amount? If you're willing to be one of our sponsors, you could give your donation to Nancy or Dave at church some Sunday. Or you could mail it to us: 201 Mowry Road, Monaca, PA If you use a check, make it out to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. On the memo line write Clayton s Army. The price is $8.00 for each 6 inch plant. All orders must be submitted by Sunday, April 7th. Please be sure to mark your order form clearly.
