How long has it been since you ve had a RBF? In honor of the dads in our midst our Bible Camp youth will be offering to make root beer floats for you. Join Kenna Frisch and Camryn Shea and their team of assistant float-builders for refreshments after worship this Sunday. You will have the opportunity to prayerfully and financially support the girls as they prepare for Bible camp. Those of us who have had this special camp experience know how enriching camp can be. We are excited for Camryn and Kenna and grateful for their commitment to their ongoing journey in faith. 2 Join us on Sunday, June 30 th for HOPE s 6 th Annual JOIN US FOR A FREE FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT Join us for a fun filled afternoon of water recreation on the upper Kinni. Bring your kayak, canoe or inner-tube and float or paddle your way down the river. If you re not able to come for the river adventure, come at 4:00 p.m. for a family cook out, including swimming, bocce ball, and fellowship! Food and beverages will be provided, so come for a fun afternoon! Don t forget to bring your swim suit and towels. Kayaking at 2:00 pm Picnic and Swimming begin at 4:00 pm. Location: The Rodewald s Home Hwy 65. (3 miles east of Shopko on 65) Look for white Hope sandwich board sign in driveway on right side of road. If you don t have equipment and would like to participate, please talk to us and we ll help find what you need. Remember: Safety First bring your life jacket and please no kiddie pool inner tubes for the river they will pop! We need your help! HOPE Worship Schedule The Ad Hoc ministry of HOPE Lutheran is very excited about the upcoming Market on HOPE s land. Pitch in as you are able. Opportunities abound for participation. If you are not reserving your own booth, but have items to donate, HOPE will be setting up a booth for miscellaneous items and you may have something that fits that description. If you have an item or two or ten, but aren t able to manage a booth for a day, drop your items off at HOPE s office and we will make them available for purchase, the proceeds will be going to the payoff of the land loan. Suggested items include: toys, dishes, paintings, jewelry, books, furniture NO CLOTHING PLEASE!! 3

5 There s the old joke about the Lutheran and the Well, I ll tell you the rest when we get together. Plan to meet me downtown on Wednesday July 3 for coffee and conversation beginning at 7:00 a.m. We ll start our day bright and early at the café in Family Fresh and join in FAITH Talk. Our time together will include a loosely guided discussion of our faith journeys, where we each began, and where God is guiding us today. Let s practice putting words to our faith experiences and talk about where we are seeing God at work in our lives. If we have a volunteer sign up we'll have coffee, but otherwise we won't have it for the summer months. If you enjoy socializing with a cup of coffee after worship, please sign up! During the month of June worshipers will be given the opportunity to give their pocket change (and any spare folding money too!) to our noisy offering. The offering will support the VBS program. So bring your pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters to crash & bang in the offering pot. RF Days Flea Market "Goodies" Plans are underway to have some wonderful treats and pastries for sale for vendors and shoppers. Are you willing to bake some cookies, bars, puppy chow, or other easy to eat goodies? If so, please sign up on the sheet at church, or contact Linda Jacobson or Kaija Warner. P.S.
