Contributions We need an average income per week of $8, to fund the work of the school and the church. We have been averaging far below that amount, and are now behind. At the end of the 3 rd quarter, we were at $-27, Please prayerfully consider your response to God s blessings as you support our work together in the church. 5

6 Lutheran Youth Fellowship (LYF) Notes Concordia LYF sends a huge thank you to those of you who supported the Chili Dinner and have supported the previous fundraisers as we continue to work toward attending the National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis next summer. We are getting excited about the trip. We are so thankful for all of you, and know that we couldn t get there without the help and support you have given us! God s blessings to our Concordia Church Family and friends this Christmas Season and in 2019! Olivia, Devin, Brandon, Jordan, Bianca, Dalton, and Emma Concordia LYF will host a Take-and-Bake Casserole Sale on Sunday, January 13, 2019, after worship. Small casseroles will be available for $15 each (2-4 servings) and large casseroles will be available for $20 each (6-8 servings). United in Christ Lutheran School (UCLS) Notes United in Christ Lutheran School is seeking to fill the following positions: PE Teacher for 6 hours per week, Classroom Aide for 24 hours per week, and Title I Teacher for up to 3 hours per week. The start date for all three positions is January 7, Saxony Lutheran High School Notes Saxony Lutheran FFA will host a Breakfast on Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 7-10:30 a.m. at Saxony. Pancakes and smoked pork links will be served for a free-will donation. Proceeds will support Saxony s FFA Chapter and help them get an ag shop. Saxon Lutheran Memorial (SLM) Notes Thank You! The SLM Council would like to thank those who came to support the memorial by visiting during the Christmas Country Church Tour. If you have not had a chance to see the display yet, it will be up through this Tuesday, New Year s Day. We are also appreciative to those who helped with setting up, bringing food, and volunteering during the event. God s blessings to all in the new year. Lutheran Family & Children s Services (LFCS) Notes In honor of LFCS 150 years of service to Missouri families, a donor is offering to double all year-end contributions to LFCS made by tomorrow, December 31, up to a total match of $50,000. Donations may be made online at lfcsmo.org. Neighboring Church & Community Notes The Annual After Christmas Christmas Concert by the Perry County Lutheran Chorale, will be next Sunday, January 6, 2019, at 4 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, New Wells. The chorale and full orchestra will present familiar favorites like Away in a Manger, Mary Had a Baby, and the Hallelujah Chorus, along with some Chorale favorites Magnum Mysterium, Alleluia! Gloria! Magnificat! Nowell!, and Gesu Bambino. Admission is free. A free-will offering will be taken in support of the chorale. Refreshments will be served following the concert.
