2 FROM THE VICAR S DESK Beloved ones in Christ, Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. SET PRIORITIES Youth age is a glamorous and glorious stage of human life. It is full of potentials, possibilities and powers. To set priorities is very essential in this period. In Matthew 19:16-22, we find a young ruler; he was rich and a religious man. He came to Jesus with a very meaningful question, What shall I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus enquires his spiritual life. He was very confident and says that he observes all the commandments from his childhood days onwards. When Jesus heard this, He responded; There is still one thing lacking. Set all that you own and share the money to the poor people, then come and follow me. But when he heard this, he became very sad. The kingdom of God is possible only through relationships. Sharing enhances relationships. Whatever we have are gifts from God. What we have received as gifts from God, are to be shared with others. The young man in his search for eternal life is not able to have the joy of relationships here. Love God, obey His commandments and care for others are the chief priorities of Christian life.
